Question

ftp.omniture.com is not reachable today

Hi,

 

We have been using ftp.omniture.com for years for datawarehouse pulls.  I am getting a "windows cannot access this folder" error today when trying to retrieve my file.  Is anybody else seeing that?

 

I also tried from a dos prompt and it timed out.

 

Same for a co-worker.

Personally, I have never used Adobe's ftp server, but I checked out the recent Release Logs and End-of-Life notifications and didn't see anything related to this server...

 

That said, Adobe has been trying to wean itself off the old "Omniture" nomenclature for some time... perhaps this was an oversight? I did a DNS lookup for omniture.com and couldn't find any records... it's possible that someone removed it from the DNS without realizing that the FTP was still active and in use?

 

This sounds like something to contact Client Care about...

It must be some kind of firewall rule that our company has in place.  The partner that picks up the data was able to get to the file and pick it up from the ftp.omniture.com directory.
