FTP doesn't work

I am trying to transfer a file via FTP but it doesn't work. The FTP credentials are working fine. It displays the following error.Can you please help me in this. Thanks!

What process are you using to FTP?  Are you using the Adobe Analytics interface or an external FTP tool?

If using an external tool, what system are you on?  PC or Mac?  I know for a fact that Macs do not create CSV files in Excel the way the system will accept them.  Also, are you leaving the first row after your column headings blank?

Need to understand more details to assist.
