Filters on Table Builder Broken?

Hello everyone,

We recently noticed an issue with the Table Builder feature. When we apply filters to multiple dimensions, the filter only applies to the first dimension. Any dimension listed under the first one does not get filtered at all.

This behavior seems new—previously, we were able to filter multiple dimensions at once without any problems, and the table would update correctly across all selected fields.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known bug?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I actually don’t use the Table Builder much (err ever 😉) , but I tested filtering the top dimension and the sub dimension, and you are right, I see “a filter in place” in the builder (i.e. contains “x”) but when I build the table out, I am getting values other than “x”.

 

If Table Builder isn’t going to listed to the filters, then why allow you to add them… while I can’t commend on how it used to work, this sure looks like a bug to me.

 

If you haven’t already, please open a ticket with Client Care so that they can create a ticket with the engineering team.

 

Unfortunately, it seems like if you need filters, you may have to make your tables outside of Table Builder…  Or you might need to use segments to take the place of the filters… good luck.
