Export of dynamic retention rate (eg Report Builder)

Hi all,

 

is it possible to create a dynamic, calculated metric of the retention rate?

 

We use the retention rate extensively in the mobile app environment. Per default in the cohort analysis visual in some workspace projects.

I am able to create segments of those values only with fixed time ranges (eg 6 month retention | First time Visits in May > Number of users measured again in November).

As soon as I use dynamic time periods/ranges (start of current month -6 months) the segment delivers no data.

I need to be able to create those dynamic metrics for a Report Builder export (once per month).

 

Anybody ever done this? Suggestions highly appreciated 🙂

You can create a First-Time Users segment by setting Visit Number = 1 and applying a rolling date range (Start of Current Month - 6 months to End of That Month). This allows the segment updates automatically each month without manual changes.
