Exits from Flow Visualization in Workspace

I understand that Workspace's Flow visualization includes reloads.

And if I include an entry point and change settings to visits it should be an approximate of visits as the actual metric is pathviews.

Can someone tell me if the "exits" are exit from the path only? And they cannot/do not equate to Exit rates?

Is the visit exiting the site at this step or only the path...to potentially join another path?

When you see the little red path fading off, that means you're looking at the last hit of the visit for those paths.
