evarCookie on click

Hi all,

I need to track some links in a webpage and I have been looking at some work previously done. I saw a cookie being created (evar cookie) in the onclick function. I do not have a clear understanding as to why this cookie is created & how Omniture tracks it.

Can anyone please shed some light on this? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
