Entry Page/URL Returning Impossible Data

How is it that an Entry Page/URL is returning Pages/URLs that could not possibly be entry points?

The Pages/URLs can only be accessed by logging in, that means the Entry Page/URL would be the login page (or any other page that does not have to be logged in to view).

Entry Page is really sort of a calculated value, based on the "first instance of a dimension within the active session".

An Adobe Analytics Active Session is a 30 minute window... it's possible that someone was logged in.. walked away from their computer for more than 30 mins, was still logged in by your site's standards, but triggered a new analytics session.

Hi there! Thank you for responding. 😃

Users are logged out at 20 minutes.

Regardless, isn't Entry Page based on visitor cookie? Not session cookie? I'm not sure how an entry page/URL is populated with a secured page/URL when there's literally no way for a user to start a session (or visit) without logging in first. Both visitor cookie and session cookie has to be a URL that did not require them to login.

Nope.. there's no cookie at all for tracking an active analytics session... all of that logic is done on the server during processing.

Is it possible the user may be doing something actively on your site (keeping their login active), but not sending any data to analytics?

Since I cannot see your site.. what happens if you take one of those "secure" pages, and open it in Incognito mode... is the user redirected somewhere, or is it possible they are given a message to "login" (that this page cannot be accessed, etc) and that page is still tracked in your analytics?
