Data Warehouse report to include count of results returned

It would be WONDERFUL  if in the email that I receive when an ftp'd data warehouse report is ready to be picked up -   that the number of rows that have been returned in the report request would be stated.

 

I am running reports and the data set coming back is too big to display completely in excel.

 

So  in the Details section of the email    in addition to these items: 

there was also  a line for    "Rows returned"        nn,nnn,nnn

    It would also be helpful of DataWarehouse reports had some basic headings in the file.  All of the lables are in the email and if you have several open it is easy to get confused about which is which.

     

    Being able to formate the DataWarehouse report to easily drop into a pivot table would also be a gift.

    It would also be nice if we could have the rows returned come as an additional file to the FTP location.  This would allow me to automate the loading process to ensure rows sent = rows loaded into the database.

     

    This could also be implemented as a "Totals" row to the existing file which could provide not just counts, but total for that column.
