Hi @dineshpr!
First of all, let's get a few things hashed out.  I'm going to first link you to this page so we have a frame of reference:
https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics-platform/using/cja-dataviews/component-settings/persistence
Second, let's talk about attribution:

  • Persistence ON: In this situation, the value of a dimension will persist across subsequent events in a session or as defined by a specific attribution model you have selected (e.g., campaign tracking) to go toward purchase data and/or other success events.
  • Persistence OFF: In this case, the value of a dimension is only attributed to a specific event for which it was set and does not carry forth on any subsequent events.

Persistence ONLY applies to dimensions, NOT metrics.  If you think about it, a metric is counted and measured directly at the hit/event level and summed/based at the dimension's level of attribution.  Does this help clarify a little better?

Most metrics also allow you to select non-standard attribution models. Click the gear for the metric and look at the bottom. Checking the non-standard attribution box allows you to select various allocation & lookback periods. Full details are at this link & I showed an example from demo data below

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics-platform/using/cja-workspace/visualizations/freeform-table/column-row-settings/column-settings#use-non-default-attribution-model
