Clarification about 1.4 API end of life

Hello,

I’ve been using the Data Insertion API so far, and i’ve been informed of the end of life for the Adobe Analytics 1.4 API.

However, this guide indicates that the Data Insertion API is an exception.

My client’s is adamant of the opposite, quoting the EOL date that they received from the support.

Is the guide i’ve provided obsolete and the Data insertion API will be closed as well? Or was there a miscommunication somewhere?

Here’s your Adobe seal - the Data Insertion API is not being deprecated. In addition to the explicit announcement on the EOL page where it says:

    • The Data Insertion API is not impacted by this end-of-life announcement. While Adobe plans to continue support for the Data Insertion API, Adobe recommends using the Bulk Data Insertion API instead.

I have also personally conversed with engineering who have stated that the Data Insertion API will remain active for the foreseeable future.

The document clearly states Data Insertion API is an exception to the EOL for API 1.4. If you want an Adobe seal, I would suggest reaching out to Adobe Support/CSM.
