CJA segment in AEP

What happens if we ingest dataset into CJA which is not enabled for profile. Create segment in CJA and publish to AEP.
Once audience is available in AEP, would that really reflect under profiel snapshot ?
how would that go into profile store if it was not even set a profile enabled dataset ?

If a dataset in CJA is not profile-enabled, it won't link to the Profile Store in AEP, meaning it won’t show up in the Profile Snapshot. You can still create a segment in CJA and publish it to AEP, but this segment won't reflect customer profiles, as the data is not tied to specific profiles. To update the Profile Store, the dataset must be profile-enabled and contain customer identifiers linked to profiles.

I hope the above reference helps clarify your queries, feel free to let me know if you have any other solutions or if anything else needs further explanation.

I had the same issue,

When you create a segment in CJA and publish it to AEP: It becomes an audience in AEP.

But for that audience to be associated with a customer profile, the underlying data used to evaluate the segment must come from profile-enabled datasets.

If the dataset is not profile-enabled, AEP has no way to associate the segment evaluation results with a customer profile. As a result:

The audience may appear in AEP’s audience library, but It will not be tied to any customer in the Real-Time Profile,

And it will not show up in the profile snapshot UI or profile API.

That doesnt seems correct. I found this

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics-platform/using/cja-components/audiences/publish#audiences-aep

 https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics-platform/using/cja-components/audiences/audiences-overview

When you publish a CJA audience to AEP, the matching identity namespace and ID value(s) are sent to AEP. If there is a matching profile that corresponds with that namespace and ID pair, then the CJA segment is added as an attribute to that profile.
If no matching profile can be found, then a new one will be created and it will contain that segment as an attribute. It is fine if the datasets that your CJA audience is based on is not enabled for profile.
