Can someone help me understand "Average Time Spent on Site?"
is this 4 minutes and 52 seconds for one users visit to the entire up until the last click?

That looks like a legacy dashboard widget, which means that it's 4.52 minutes, or in other words, ~4 min. 30 seconds.
That 4:30 is the average across all visits with multiple hits. Some visits could have been 30 seconds, other visits could have been 20 minutes. Ultimately your average was 4:30, though.
