Calculated Metric Question

Now that calculated metrics are "share-able" 

If I have segment built into a calculated metric and share with co-worker A.  However, co-worker A does not have the segment shared with them. 

Does the calculated metric still work for co-worker A?

Hi,

The Calculated metric will work for co-worker A even if the embedded segment in the metric is not shared with him.

I read the documentation and I couldn't find any clarification on this.  Could you point me in the right direction for where you were able to find it in the documentation?
