Best way to record release versions for analysis?

Question

Is there a best practice for recording in Adobe Analytics the date and time that new site versions were released to study the impact the release has on key metrics?

Urs_Boller · Accepted Answer

if you want to track more than just a simple „site version“ you have a look here, especially the DataElement „version“:https://webanalyticsfordevelopers.com/2017/09/05/useful-data-elements/

There are currently no best practices for this sort of thing, however if you kept your "site version" in a custom variable, you could create reports and segments based on this custom dimension to pull whatever you needed.
