Automatic population for Reprocess field

We currently use the reprocess field within the Log Processing.cfg and Transformation.cfg as our means to track who and when a change was made to the configuration which would trigger a processing event.  Is there a way we could use the variable CN to automatically populate the reprocess field, ending with the date/time when a particular user saves these configurations to the server?   This feature would provide the Administrator with a quick view into who saved a change to the server which triggered reprocessing.   Searching through the provided audit logs is too cumbersome.   In actuality, it would be great if all configurations which trigger a reprocess event could provide this information.
