Anyone know how to identify AppleNews app traffic?

So when the AppleNews app draws a story from a site, it appears to properly fire off our Adobe/Omniture tag. We verified it using Fiddler. But like most apps it seems to send no referrer, and it doesn't appear as the usual in-app browsing that we've learned to at least identify as in-app.

Any ideas? I know some folks out there are reporting traffic from the app, so it must be discernible.
