Alerts: Unable to modify default Workspace associated with alert

Hello,

 

I would like to modify the default workspace associated with an alert.  Why is this not yet possible?

Unfortunately, the workspaces that are generated for your alerts are what they are, there is no functionality (currently) to modify the default report that is linked from your Alert emails.

 

However, you might want to upvote this idea, which addresses the same concern... having the ability to customize the report.

Hi @enriquego1 

not sure I can follow. What are you referring to when you say "workspace"? 

Do you mean a specific dashboard?

 

Set up alerts in general can be accessed through the main navigation's Components > Alerts

and in there, you can also on Alert level change the report suite to which ever you need.

This link in the Alert email leads to a pre-built Workspace.  I want to modify want a user sees when they click this link.

    I would love that ability too... the default workspace is generic enough to work for any alert, but kind of useless for trying to understand the full impact of what is happening.... 

     

    And while yes, Analysts can do some work to dig into it, I would like something that our developers can see right away, especially if I am on vacation when the alert comes in....

    When you have an alert set up, it takes you to a prebuilt workspace. There isn't currently a way to change the workspace layout by default, but once you open the alert you can modify it and save it. Once the dashboard is open, you can treat it like any other workspace.
