Adobe Prime vs Adobe Ultimate

Hi,

Has anyone with Adobe Analytics Prime upgraded to Adobe Analytics Ultimate?  I didn’t even know Adobe Analytics had different versions until last week.  Apparently Ultimate is a good solution for cross device analysis (CDA), among other benefits, without having to upgrade to CJA.

Thanks in advance.

Upgrading ‘prime’ to ‘ultimate’ if you also want contribution analysis etc not just CDA alone. If CDA is the only driver, evaluate whether field based stitching meets your needs OR whether CJA might be a better long term fit given where the product is heading as the roadmap is clearly more on there also, if your cross device need also involves offline data, CRM or you’re already considering on AEP you can skip Ultimate and go to CJA. But if you’re purely digital web/app and not considering AEP. then ‘ultimate’ can be your choice..

I am not sure, you would need to check with your Sales Manager… but I believe that only grandfathered “Ultimate” licenses include Device Stitching… I am not sure that new Ultimate Packages include this… I recall a few years ago someone saying they were no longer able to get that feature… of course, that decision may have been rescinded too… I don’t follow the packages changes too closely.

yes Like Jen said best to double check with your Account Manager as packaging can change and some changes happened over time.

but based on the latest docs May 2026 Adobe Analytics | Product Description, CDA is still part of AA Ultimate but with limits like max 3 RSIDs and 2 month backfill.

So CDA isn’t fully gone, just restricted. So, still worth assessing if CDA fits your use case or if CJA is the better long term option.
