Adobe Classification Import - Overwrite checkbox greyed out

We are trying to upload a new classification file (.tab) in Adobe Analytics - Admin > Classification Importer.

When we upload the file the section with “Overwrite data on conflict” checkbox greyed out / not selectable.

We need our data to fully update based on our new file. Is it going to update the data if that checkbox is not checked?

Appreciate your help. Thanks!

I’ve seen that for a while… while I don’t use the importer much, the controls there have been greyed out for quite some time.. I am not sure why… possibly in preparation for the sunset and new Classification Rules?

Given this interface is going to go away in August, have you tried using the new Classification Sets instead?

Thank you @Jennifer_Dungan ! We are yet to look into the new Classification Sets - maybe we’ll go that route now. Don’t want to mess things up with the old interface with the options used earlier now being disabled.

I completely agree with that.. I haven’t used the new interface myself yet (I have seen reports of issues… I have seen other people say it works…  🤷)

However, at this time, I would suggest trying the new systems for the following reasons:

  1. I am afraid that I will have to redo everything later to make it clean - making sure the classification rule names are clear, that everything is working, that updates can be properly made on the new system, etc.)
  2. Now is the time to find the bugs, get them to Adobe and hope they are all fixed before the old system is sunset… 😅

If you do run into issues, you can always revert to the old way… but if we aren’t careful, we might paint ourselves in a corner if we keep using the system we are used to…

Good Luck! Also, let us know how you make out.
