Adobe Analytics data visible in Debugger but not in Workspace for one user

I’m currently validating Adobe Analytics tags for a banking mobile app in the UAT environment. When I trigger certain events (tags), I can see the data firing correctly in the Adobe Analytics Debugger. However, the same data does not appear in Adobe Analytics Workspace.

I’ve tested this across multiple devices and operating systems, but the issue persists. What’s puzzling is that when my colleague performs the same actions from her system (different device and setup), she is able to see the data in Workspace without any issues.

It seems like the problem occurs only when I test it, despite not using the same device or environment as my colleague. I’m unsure what could be blocking the data visibility on my end.

Has anyone encountered a similar scenario before? Any guidance or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @SamuelPaulPeter

have you tried debugging using Assurance? Maybe something in your requests is preventing the successful forwarding to the AA servers.

When you say mobile app, are you talking about a native app or a web view that runs the contents?
If it is an app, maybe it is something in your test setup that affects the requests? What does your test setup look like?

Cheers from Switzerland!

That’s definitely strange. Are you doing any segmentation or bot filtering that could be excluding your visits? I know at a previous company, we had a custom segment that filtered out internal users based on certain actions, so whenever we tested we would have to use an incognito window.

Are you testing the actual app or the web views it loads? If your colleague’s setup is working, are you certain, yours is identical?

And this happens using the legacy Adobe Analytics library, and not Web SDK?

Another possibility is that you are accessing the site from an “Internal IP” (which has been excluded int he suite settings), whereas your colleague might not be on the same IP and theirs isn’t being excluded?

I agree with others check the signals with Assurance… but even still, I don’t know how Internal IP Exclusions show in that case..

Could  it be an issue with permission rights to associated traffic/conversion variables?

It is worth checking.

Hi all,

I kept debugging all these days. The issue was persisting. All of a sudden I noticed that once in a while, my actions were getting recorded to AA.

I was curious to know what is happening behind. Sometimes, it records. Sometimes, it doesn’t. I started doubting my hands and fingers (In situations like this, we become dumb right 😅).

Later decided to watch closely on my process of triggering the tags. I found that, whenever I used Adobe debugger along side while triggering, the data is not recorded on AA (It sends the hits, but never converts them into context data).

Whereas when I do it by disabling the Adobe Debugger, I could see the data properly on AA.

Wondering how could this happen. *Please do note that I tried this multiple times on different scenarios, systems, networks, etc.,

Would like to hear it from you all, have anyone encountered this?

Thanks!

@SamuelPaulPeter is it possible you have a different suite configured in your debugger? So, instead of sending to “Suite A”, you are actually sending to “Suite B”??

I don’t use that tool for this purpose, so I don’t know if it retains those settings between sessions if you are logged in…
