Add more date ranges for X months ago in Workspace

Rename “Last month”  to “1 month ago” in order to enable proper sorting in rows with “2 months ago” & “3 months ago”, Additionally create more “X months ago” to cover at least last 13 months so that trending can be done. Same with week ago would be optimal!

Reason? Since person containers are affected by the selected reporting date range, the segment can be evaluated over the panel range rather than independently for every month row.

This is a problem when trending monthly numbers over a longer timespan than 3 months (also the 3 backwards monthly date ranges defy sorting in the right order which messes up bar charts due to “Last month”).

Creating custom date ranges allows both proper sorting & meaningful bar charts. However this means each month a new one must be created. Better as suggested to have the X months ago made available in Workspace.

You do know you can make custom rolling months right?

Just make sure you have rolling dates turned on, and use the current month as your anchor and do the math on how many months back you want.

This works for doing “1 month ago” as well if you need that in a sorted order… there is really no need to rename “Last Month”, as that name is fine when doing a simple report.

Oh yes mam, that is the quick go to solution.

However, consider the repetitive effort for all CJA users to create these date ranges. 1 - 3 months exists today and would be useful if the others were created by Adobe.

Having both “Last month” and “1 month ago” could be confusing as the later would be sufficient for both uses. The same for weeks would be a nice present, lets see if Santa Adobe will surprise us.

Lol, honestly, setting up custom date ranges has never really bothered me, cause it’s a one time effort. But yes, having more options is nice, but if I had a choice between them adding things I can do myself, and fixing or adding logic that I can’t do at all… that’s where I would put my money 😄

I just wanted to flag that you don’t need to create date ranges each month if they are rolling.
