Fantasia Creation: Short story – Running Through the City

A runner races through a city at night as the music plays. The fast tempo and energetic rhythm feel like constant movement through busy streets.

0:15 – The music suddenly shifts, which I imagined as the runner turning a sharp corner.
0:45 – The pace feels faster and more intense, like the runner moving quickly through crowded streets.
1:20 – The sound becomes chaotic and full, which made me imagine lights and cars rushing past.

I was inspired by the tempo, dynamics, and timbre of the saxophone. The instrumentation (saxophone, piano, bass, and drums) creates a layered sound that reminds me of a busy city. This example uses mimesis, because the fast rhythms imitate the feeling of running and movement
