Hi all,I'm new to Adobe audience manager and I'm currently struggling to understand the difference between ad server integration and destination publishing. To me, both looks the same. Would anyone be kind enough to help me understand the difference?

Yes, as I said if remove s.events from appmeasurment.js , then the direct call rule event works. However, I now used the s.events with s.apl plugin in the appmeasurement.js and the direct call rule events aren't getting overridden any more. My issue is resolved and everything is being tracked with this solution but posting it here for the information of the others if anyone is experiencing similar issue.

HiI've some ajax pages on my site and I'm using direct call rule to track them. On some of the direct call rule I added some page / step specific events but these events are getting overridden by the event set ( which s.events="event4="+s_getLoadTime();) in the core appmeasurement.js. The specific events in the direct call rules get tracked if I remove s.events="event4="+s_getLoadTime(); from appmeasurment.js. Is there any workaround for this. or Is there a way to tell DTM to prioritize the even...

Thanks LJ and Jason. That's very very helpful.I also wanted to know if I can import some user level / account level data in target to create a custom segment. To elaborate the scenario,I pass the user account numbers to mbox and some of these user account tried to make payment on the site but failed due to some issues with their accounts. When these customers comes back to the site next time, I would like to give them some personalized message regarding their last failed payment. The messages wo...

Sorry if this seems an silly question but I'm new to target. I was wondering if we can create custom segment / audience in Target by importing some user account numbers, which aren't tracked in Adobe Analytics. The account numbers are passed to the datalayer once the user is authenticated. So, is it possible to use some account numbers that are only available in the datalayer and trigger a campaign if the condition are met?

Hi Rahul,Thanks. Would it be an event based rule based on the data element values in the rule condition? If so, what would be the element tag or selector as it doesn't seem I can leave this field empty. Basically, is there any way to fire the rule without using this field.Page load rule doesn't work as the search isn't generating a page load.RegardsSid

Hi Cleve,Thanks for sharing the information. Similarly, for my case, I think I need to add some code to listen to the change in the datalayer values after the page loads and then fire the direct call rules when the condition in the datalayer value matches. But I'm not good with the code and can't find anything in the internet, which would allow me to do this in DTM. Any suggestion?RegardsSid

Hi guys,The search is on my site doesn't generate a pageview. When a search is performed on the site, the search parameters are passed on to the digitalData datalayer, for example, when a search is successful, onsite search = success is passed on to the digitalData datalayer without using _satellite.track. Can I fire a DTM rule based on the when the digitalData datalayer 'onsite search = success'? I need this quite urgently, so any help quickly would be much appreciated. Many thanksSid

Hi DTM experts,Apologies for the silly question but I'm not good with the codes, so I was wondering if anyone can share their customized Youtube API code with the direct call rule code in it to track YouTube video via DTM. I was hoping that I can use this as an example and then customize it for tracking YouTube videos in my site via DTM.Any help would be much appreciated.RegardsSid

RahulThanks. But if I would like to add a tag, for example, on a video play click, how do I do it? I assume I must need to use a condition which DTM understands to fire this third-party tag. Would you be able to please list the steps taking this example?

Hi Rahul,For this, I assume I need to first check the change in values in the datalayer and then set the direct call rules based on the desired value in datalayer / window. Is there a function that can check for the change in values in the datalayer / window after the page load?RegardsSid

Hi Rahul,It isn't using html5, it is just passing the YT video events values in the datalayer. So, can't use html5 'play' event.RegardsSyed

Josh Donley wrote... "Native support" means you should see options for it within the DTM interface (as opposed to writing your own custom code). DTM offers native support for html5 videos. To set this up, create an Event based rule. Under Conditions > Event Type the dropdown has video events under HTML 5 Video. If you need to grab information about the video (e.g. the video src url or other meta data in the video tag), the javascript this object is a reference to the video object for the given e...

Hi Alexis,Thanks for sending me this link. The report suite is currently timestamp-enabled but not sure how to send this variable (s.timestamp) in s.tl tracking. Can you please check the below code if this is correct way of adding timestamp?: var s=s_gi('testreport');s.linkTrackVars='eVar1,timestamp,events'';s.linkTrackEvents='event1's.eVar1='test';s.events='event1';s.timestamp='ISO format timestamp';s.tl(this,'o','test'); Many thanks,Sid

Hi Josh,Many thanks for sharing the links but I can only see the syntax similar to the one below, which looks like for javascript implementation:s.contextData['myco.rsid'] = 'value' Can't find any syntax for non-javascript implementations I'm afraid.Regards,Sid

Hi DevinderI understand the 's_fid' fallback cookie but imagine we're setting the first-party cookie using visitorAPI.js (the new recommended solution by Adobe for setting visitor cookie) rather than subdomain solution, and the browser accepts the cookie as this is set on the domain by visitorAPI.js. What will be the cookie in this case - 'AMCV_' or 's_vi'?Thanks

HiI was wondering if anyone can provide a reference site which is already using the new 'Visitor ID Service' (visitorapi.js) cookie implementation.I'm trying to implement this on my site but just wanted to see this in practice before I commit. I've approached our account manager but he couldn't help me with a reference site. Thanks in advance.
