Re: Adobe Marketing Cloud user group meetings - join an upcoming meeting! mitchell_teixei - Adobe Experience Cloud
Any update on how these went? I registered for the Richmond, VA UG event and was promised an email at registration time, but it never arrived. So I didn't attend. Would love for us to have an active UG in Richmond.

Re: Where do we find a SiteCatalyst - Analytics Glossary? mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Hello - You can find the info you need here at this link:http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/reference/At the top of the page, look at Help > Analytics > Analytics Help and Reference and you'll see a PDF icon. That link is not working at the moment, but it should have the latest Marketing Cloud Reference "book" with all the info you want. The copy I have from 4/2013 is 275 pages. Best wishes for continued success!

Re: Product Conversion Funnel Questions mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Hi - are you able to load Digital Pulse debugger in your browser and visit the site being analyzed? On the site itself, go through each step of the process you want to track and pause to run Digital Pulse on each page and check to see if each tag/event is firing properly. If you can see the SiteCatalyst code in the source of each page, cut and paste it into a text editor (not Word) and compare the tags with the samples from the SiteCatalyst Implementation Guide and/or Marketing Cloud Reference t...

Re: SC_Stub error - setTagContainer method missing? mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Thanks for the reply. I am unable to publicly share the URL at this time. I was hoping you'd be able to provide some quick advice simply from the error message since I hadn't added any additional tagging beyond the SiteCatalyst tab in my ATM 2.0 container. Surely someone viewing has encountered this error? Meanwhile, ATM 2.0 is a great tool and I hate to see it go away so soon, however we look forward to getting on DTM as soon as we have ATM running smoothly with current work. Would love to see ...

SC_Stub error - setTagContainer method missing? mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Hello - I'm working with tagging a new site using ATM 2.0. I have a new site tag and container. DigitalPulse shows the tag firing, but in Chrome, I see this error shown below but I can't see why this is happening. My container has only one product/code: SiteCatalyst.Any hints appreciated.Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method 'setTagContainer' sitecatalyst.js:178(anonymous function)

Re: New Visits in Reports & Analytics mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Hmmm.... I'm not so sure about comparing the "Unique Visitors" metric to "New" or "Repeat" visitors. "Unique Visitors" is a way that SiteCatalyst/Adobe Analytics "de-dupes" visitors who may have visited your site multiple times during a certain interval of time and counts them only once. I don't think it has anything to do with whether or not they were a New Visitor (visitor id never seen before) or Repeat Visitor.Back to the original question, I am not sure we can get SiteCatalyst to do this on...

Re: how to track traffic from HTTPS to HTTP sites on Adobe Analytics? mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
As I understand, when the browser is leaving an https site linking to a non-https site, the referrer info doesn't come across. When Google changed the bulk of searches to be on https, that's part of the reason all the referrer info dried up in our analytics reports all around. Is there a way you can add a parameter onto the links coming to your site from the https site? This might help solve your problem/need. Another thing you could try is to get the specific inbound landing pages on your site t...

Re: Filtering Internal Traffic on Rollup mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Awesome, thanks! (somehow my recent reply requesting the screenshot was duplicated, and when I tried to delete one copy, both vanished)Thank you for the info. As a matter of curiousity, was there a reason you didn't like the IP exclusion method either?

Filtering Internal Traffic on Rollup mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
I'd like to filter my internal traffic on a Rollup suite and leave my site's actual reporting suite without exclusions. Has anyone tried this and/or what observations do you have? How long does it take for these filters to take effect or are they immediate? Such as if I need to add or remove IPs I want to exclude. On this same topic, is the visitor's IP address available to s_code so that I can capture it and store it as an evar, traffic var? I noticed that Processing Rules can take actions on tr...

Re: How to View Middle Channel (First Touch -> Middle Touches -> Last Touch) Interactions in Adobe Analytics mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
I'm sure there are other advanced methods for getting the "middle interactions", but I found the CrossVisitParticipation plugin worked nicely for us. Adobe likes you to get professional services to help with implementation, but in my opinion you can do it yourself if you set it up carefully. You'll find several articles and blog posts about this plugin, and there's a knowledgebase article or two about it, plus some entries on this forum as well. I use the resulting reports along side Marketing C...

Re: AdHoc no longer launches on Windows 8 mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
I'm replying to my own post, but I made a breakthrough at last. I just re-installed the 64-bit Java JRE and launched from the command prompt with console logging enabled. To my amazement, I am now running AdHoc once again. For some reason the 32-bit version was never launching, but as long as this 64-bit JRE works, I'm OK.Still would love to hear of any debug switches or other info for debugging Ad Hoc/Discover launches on Windows. Regards,MitchellT

Re: AdHoc no longer launches on Windows 8 mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Thanks - I've done all of the above at least a couple times now. At one point I even tried rolling back to the original JRE I loaded when the unit arrived. No luck.I've pulled a new .jnlp file, checked my path environment value and I've verified there's no old JREs installed. Currently I have v8 update 40 verified using the Sun site. I have cleared the cache and even tried running with cache disabled. Clearing the cache was one of the first remedies I tried many days ago. When I try to launch Dis...

Re: AdHoc no longer launches on Windows 8 mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Hi thanks for the info. Yes, I was once able to run AdHoc a few times. Unfortunately some time went by between the last time it ran and application of various Windows Updates. It was then that I realized AdHoc was no longer launching and I began troubleshooting by checking Java, etc. Even the most recent batch of Windows Updates didn't help.At this point, I'll pull down another .jnlp file and try again. What I'd like to know is if AdHoc has some settings or switches I can change in the .jnlp fil...

AdHoc no longer launches on Windows 8 mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Hello - I'm having trouble launching AdHoc (formerly Discover, of course) on my new Windows 8 laptop. Does anyone have troubleshooting experience beyond what's in the KB posted? I was previously able to run AdHoc, now it won't run. All latest Windows Updates are applied and a new Java has been installed since experiencing the difficulty launching. My reliable Vista box right beside me still runs AdHoc just fine. I have also tried launching AdHoc with Firewall and Antivirus disabled, neither has ...

Re: Differences Next Page Flow report Sitecatalyst and Adhoc Analysis mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
My first thoughts are for you to make sure you have your calendars set the same, the same report suite, same filters, same segments between the two. I know these are obvious things, but after a long day they might start to blend together. Also make sure its the same report you're working with as well. Good luck - let us know what you find...

Re: AdWords Remarketing Tag - Custom Code in Tagmanager mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
I just noticed you're using ATM 1.0. I never used it myself, since ATM2.0 was available when I started my project. If you can, upgrade to ATM2, it's much better. But if you can't do it immediately, maybe my screenshot will still help you.

Re: AdWords Remarketing Tag - Custom Code in Tagmanager mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
Hello - here's an example how I got my tags to work. Select JavaScript as the tag type, then paste in the code block and remove extraneous sections. I took out the NOSCRIPT because if script is disabled, the ATM won't fire anyway!Notice how the call to include the conversion.js file is woven into a document.write.I use Chrome and the WASP Plugin for Chrome to debug/test. Good luck! (you'll notice that I covered over our unique identifiers in the code - don't le...

Re: Cross-Visit Participation plug-in mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
After carefully considering the above replies, the plugin is here in a KB article: https://omniture-help.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10553/kw/cross%20visit%20participation I have implemented it along with Adobe Tag Manager, and it is allowing us to gain a lot of insight into how our customers use the site, switching offer codes and campaigns within sessions and between sessions. We're still validating our data, so I'm not saying my data is perfect (is it ever?). Best of luck!

RegEx Support in filters mitchell_teixei - Adobe Analytics
It would be very helpful if Regular Expressions were supported in Filters/Advanced Filters. The value of the filter function is severely reduced without RegEx support. To continue on the same train of thought, it would be great if it were possible to save filters once they've been updated on bookmarked reports. I find myself re-bookmarking reports after adding an extra filter parameter or two. If I miss re-bookmarking, then I need to re-add the new filter parameters next time I view the report.Th...
