Re: Content migration using Crx2oak ( AEM 6.3 to 6.3) Krisgum - Adobe Experience Manager
Thanks kautuk.Im using higher version of crx2oak as 6.1 to 6.3 was successful. As part of our deployment model for every deployment , im trying to spin up a fresh instance and migrate known content paths from old repo. The way im running now for a repository with file store is by explicitly mentioning paths src-datastore and target datastore. Is it not the right way ? When you mentioned FS copy , did you mean simply copying the directory like via rsync to target directory or running crx2oak with...

Content migration using Crx2oak ( AEM 6.3 to 6.3) Krisgum - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi There , Using the setps mentioned in this article , http://www.sravan.co/blog/aem-convert-blob-datastore-to-file-datastore I was able to migrate my repository from AEM 6.1 (all in segment store) to AEM 6.3 (segment store + binary data to separated file store) .Now I'm trying out the migration from AEM 6.3 (segment store+data store) to AEM 6.3 (segment Store + data store) I'm executing it as below , however migration seems to fail with exception 15:51:48.226 ERROR [main] MigrationSpecGenerator...

Migrate user groups and permissions using crx2oak Krisgum - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi there ,Our AEM users (authoring instances) have their groups synced in to AEM from LDAP when user attempts to login . Basically on a fresh instance we create user groups (with same name as defined in Ldap ) and set permissions via scripts and keep it ready when instance is freshly set up . When user attempts to login , as his group name is identical and is already found in AEM his profile is added to the group . The group already existing in AEM has permission set which is inherited by the pr...

Re: Invoke REST API - AEM 6.3 Forms Krisgum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Thanks Darren .Yes defnitely looks like one of the options. However just thinking loud , effort to put in to create a swagger file , host it and then keeling them in sync seems to be huge when compred to invoking it with few lines of javascript code from code editor. On different lines though as you had mentioned , if the approach of swagger file is taken it would give super authors power to use it in forms and invoke it which is nice.

Thanks Scott.I'm aware of osgi way of invoking services or javascript but i'm after the way to effectively leverage AEM forms.Being a consumer of third party rest api , dont have swagger file to create a Form data model. Wondering if there is any other mechanism in AEM forms apart from using plain javascript in code editor of rules section ?cheers

I do not have the swagger file for the REST API and it is a third party service . Will i still be able to use Forms ...

Re: Integrate third party Js / CSS/HTML on a AEM page Krisgum - Adobe Experience Manager
Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure if my the above mentioned links help me in my case. Above principles seems good for creating layout container components. What I'm trying to achieve is to create a widget container like component which just leverages third party j s, CSS and HTML located from dam and embed that widget on a AEM content page. The widget here is but a self contained angular app and an example of that can be a service locator app which shows all service stations in a particular ci...

Integrate third party Js / CSS/HTML on a AEM page Krisgum - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi gurus, Ima trying to tackle a use case where a different team creates a app/widget which comprises of some js/CSS/HTML. This widget has to be displayed on a AEM page. I do not want to go via the route of iframe so thinking of other possibilities. One approach I'm inclined to is ask the third party team to upload the artefact combining full JS CSS and HTML in some shared location. From AEM we pull down this artifact and just refer it on a page via custom AEM component. ( by referring to path w...

Using Readonly disabled html5 attributes with AEM Forms Krisgum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi , I'm trying to use html5 attributes readonly , disabled on a extended guidetext field component on AEM forms 6.1. In Edit mode attributes are set correctly but in preview mode these attributes are automatically being removed from the mark-up . Any filters that i need to manage to respect these attributes ? In show/hide rule editor we can set a field to disabled but as per our uX requirements we have different use cases to make a field readonly and disabled . Any Pointers ?

There seems to be no configurations in RTE for enabling tool tips , especially when content shown in tool tip should also be authored . I don't think available RTE plugin would solve this . Did I miss anything ?
