Thank you Arun and Jörg. It looks like I'll use the approach of checking the request path. For further clarity, when trying to use the filter pattern on filters like in the example https://github.com/Adobe-Consulting-Services/acs-aem-samples/blob/master/bundle/src/main/java/com/adobe/acs/samples/filters/impl/SampleServletFilter.java Is that only available in AEM 6.3 and above? Thanks,Danny

We are currently working with an AEM 6.2 (SP1 is not installed) project, and I'm trying to understand and use filters for when an author is in Edit mode in order to restrict the amount of nesting N levels deep for a specific component. Is there any good documentation on Filters? I've seen ACS commons examples, but it doesn't help a whole lot as I'm trying to only trigger the filter on specific URL patterns (such as editor.html/content/{appDir}/*) using the following above my filter:@Properties({...

Hello,We have a custom component called column-control that basically wraps HTML around an inclusion of 'foundation/components/parsys'. In our custom component, we have an attribute named cssClassNames, which is used by 'foundation/components/parsys' and prior to installing service pack 1, the cssClassNames value was rendered as expected. After installing Service Pack 1, the attribute cssClassNames is no longer rendered. Our component HTML looks like this:The component's .context.xml file has "fo...

Hi all,I have a component that has to render different depending on the end-user's geolocation (specifically, which country they are in). The component works correctly, when bypassing cache, however, if the first request to the page is a user from Canada (which should be rendered differently than other countries), and the second request comes in by an end-user from United States, the dispatcher will serve the version from Canada. I can see the cached HTML file in the dispatcher server, and under...

Hi all,I was just wondering if it's possible to restrict specific component/page properties from specific user groups? For example, we'd have payment gateway details on either our page properties or down to the component level, but since the payment gateway information is sensitive data, we only want specific users to update/read these properties.Thanks!-Danny

Hello,I'm trying to use versioning within my pom files to version my bundles and packages. Right now, all of our versions are 1.2.0, and I'd like to update to 1.2.1. I updated all pom files to reflect the new version, made a small change in my bundle code for testing purposes, and ran "mvn clean install". After that, I used cURL to reinstall all my packages. After re-installing, I browsed to the package manager, and saw the packages were marked a new version, and even gave me the ability to down...

Hi all,I'm fairly new to AEM, and was wondering if there is a way to use the core AEM search to index data outside of the AEM platform. We have a 3rd party system that has specific data that we'd like to have in our search results. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,Danny

Hi all,I am Danny and just started a new position as an AEM Backend Developer this week. Currently, I don't have any experience in AEM, but I have plenty of Java experience and looking forward to learning another system. Other than software development, other hobbies include skiing, trail running, mountain biking (as you can tell, I love the mountains), and cooking. Excited to be part of the community! Hopefully, I'll learn enough to contribute back!Sincerely,Danny
