Hello,I am looking for info on whether OAK's CompositeNodeStore is
available in AEM yet. I would like to do a POC of running AEM in
Containers / Docker for a blue/green deployment similar to what was
presented at AdaptTo() 2017 and found questions answered last year with
a consensus that Oak 1.8 was required and not available in AEM 6.3. I am
currently migrating from AEM 6.2 to AEM 6.4.3 with Oak 1.8.9 - is
CompositeNodeStore available yet? And is there any current documentation
on that option?T...
Hello all,I am building a new infrastructure stack with new / upgraded
host VMs. What are your thoughts on migrating AEM to the new servers? I
see 3 options:Copy/paste or clone the instance from one server to the
otherThis would be the easiest and quickest optionAny issues we have
with the instance (stability, corruption, etc) will persistBuild new /
clean AEM instances, and use packages to migrate content between the two
stacksThis would ensure there are no lingering issues or questions from
Yeah, this definitely lies outside AEM. I would suggest you use log
rotation, with an automated custom script to compact / archive an older
file daily. Cron jobs would help if you're on linux, but then you also
probably wouldn't use .zip. Personally, our logs rotate and only the
last 5 days are on the server. We do use Loginsight as a log aggregation
tool though - it has a java agent that forwards log entries to the
central loginsight server automatically, and persists the logs / data
Hello,My users would like to be able to specify a large (50+) list of
pages to be activated and activate them all as a bulk job rather than
manually activating one by one when they are ready to publish them all.
These are specific pages, not entire trees. I've found that the "Bulk
Workflow Manager" in ACS Commons will let you specify this list and
specify a workflow. The default "request for activation" workflow
doesn't work because a) the users don't normally request activation,
they just do it...
Thanks Sandeep, that actually really helps. It looks like we've only had
80 unique users in the last week, and the highest was 58 in one day.
It's safe to say we're under the 100 concurrent user threshold. We'll
have to look into better ways to watch concurrent users.
Hello all,We have been investigating the possibility of using MongoMK
for our Author instances, and have decided to continue using TarMK until
we absolutely have to switch. One of the suggested Mongo requirements is
if you get above 100 concurrent authors. How can you monitor the number
of concurrent authors?Thank you,Andrew
Hi there,You'll want to double check your particular instance, but on
every instance I've worked with past 6.0 the admin user shows up in a
different place. So for your specific error, it looks like you excluded
the admin user in the source instance, but it's trying to overwrite it
on the destination instance. Find the admin user on the new instance,
and add that path to the exclusions too - that might help. I would
suggest excluding the 'system' user folder too, since 6.0 and 6.2 have
lots of c...
