AEM 6.5 TokenUtil Deprecated a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello All, The TokenUtil class (TokenUtil (The Adobe AEM Quickstart and Web Application.) ) is deprecated in AEM 6.5 . What is the alternate method to create AuthenticationInfo objects. In the documentation it says "use Oak 1.7.8 or newer external IDP instead". But its not quite clear. Have anyone tried the alternate approach. Please give any pointers.Regards,Anand

AEM 6.4 - Map Externally Authenticated User to an internal user a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello All,I have a requirement where my system is accessed by around 1L+ users. However I do not want to create these many users in AEM author. the whole 1 lakh user will fall into hardly 50-60 category of users and I wish to have only these 60 created in AEM.Is it possible to have an integration where the externally authenticated users can user AEM author (users may not directly login to AEM) to upload/modify assets.A similar question was asked here. Re: AEM Authentication to other application authentication via API a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello Tuhin, Have you tried the highlighted part.My best guess is create an authentication challenge in front of actual AEM website and then if the authenticates properly "login to AEM with a common user and then maintain that session"Regards,AMN

Re: AEM 6.4 : Replicate content to a different folder a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello Scott, Thanks for the reply.I am aware of using Replication API in workflow and I have been using that. The problem that I am trying to solve is how to take the content from Author to a different path in Publisher. So as mentioned in the link,Replicating a CQ page to two different paths in CQ publisher is a custom Transport handler the only option for this.Regards

AEM 6.4 : Replicate content to a different folder a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello All, I am looking to see if there is an option to publish the content from author to a different path in the receiving end.Eg: Path in author:/content/dam/xyx/logo/logo.jpg/content/dam/xyx/image/img.jpg This could be published to the received to the folders(in bold)/content/dam/xyx/logo/logo.jpg --> /content/dam/public/xyx/logo/logo.jpg/content/dam/xyx/image/img.jpg --> /content/dam/protected/xyx/image/img.jpgMy replication will be a process step in a workflow. Is this doable?Regards,Anand

AEM 6.4 : Exposing API - Server to server a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello All, I have a use case where I am trying to expose various assets (using content fragments) as JSON apis to multiple channels. I am using AEM assets. My AEM assets Publisher will host various end-points ready to be consumed by different channels. My plan is to register various channels with my system and give each channels a token . At the time of registration the scope of access also will be determined(Still figuring out how) My AEM servers and the channels will be in intranet and to me, O...

Re: AEM 6.4 - Shared datastore for binaryless replication a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Thanks Jorg.I have not reached step 7. Right now only in step 1-4. Our business wanted this use case and they wanted to see if we can save diskspace. However I didn't want to end up in a mess by proposing and working on the above mentioned architecture (steps), without getting an understanding and clarity on the functionality. Regards,Anand

Re: AEM 6.4 - Shared datastore for binaryless replication a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Jörg, Yes your understanding is correct. Right now i have only 2 AEM instance (1st running in 6.4 and the 2nd is in 6.2 (this will be upgraded to 6.4 by the end of the year)). I may have more AEM instances coming up . I need to merge all the AEM instances Data store with the new Central asset repository (AEM Assets 6.4) that we are going to set up. In near future I don't intend to migrate all the assets in the individual AEM instance to the central repository. However any new content will be ...

Re: AEM 6.4 - Oauth 2 legged authorization a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
After step 9 , While requesting for Access token , the post request is failing in POSTMAN. However as mentioned in the link that I have pointed out , I was able to generate the access token using curl command. So 3 legged flow is working as expected in AEM. However I tried 2 legged (client_credentials ). But got the below error.Any pointers?? smacdonald2008 kautuksahniRegards,Anand.

Re: AEM 6.4 - Shared datastore for binaryless replication a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello Gaurav, that is the plan. We are planning to migrate 6.2 --> 6.4 . And then set up shared datastore between instances. Even in that case, will I have a conflict of data as the structure of datastore folder is as below. --> --> Now the above datastore could be from Channel1. Now If I try to migrate from Channel 2, will it also have a file with same name. I have seen folders with same name(01.1a etc). ?

AEM 6.4 - Shared datastore for binaryless replication a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello Team, I am trying to set up a shared datastore for multiple aem instances. We are planning to have a common source of content (AEM assets). there will be multiple channels (Existing AEM applications running on different machines). I would want each of these instances to be mounted to shared datastore (FileDatastore) and have their individual datastores migrated to the shared filesystems. Can this be achieved?. My doubt is since datastores follow a particular folder and file naming patterns...

AEM 6.4 - Shared datastore of binary less replication a_mn1 - Adobe Experience Manager Assets
Hello Team, I am trying to configure a shared datastore for my project. The architecture is as belowHave an aem asset instance (author) which acts as a central repository of assets to multiple aem channels (Each channel has their own author and publisher).I want the asset instance and the aem channels to have a common datastore so that I can rely on binary less replication. Has anyone done any benchmarking on the various data store options that Adobe provides (S3, Azure or NFS). I would like to ...
