I'm probably not using the correct terminology when I search for this
and can't find it. I'd like to make a field with a multi-choice list of
values created by looking up the values of a field in other objects. In
my scenario, it's kind of circular so I'm not sure it's possible. I want
a custom field on the Program where the user can select from a
multi-choice list that contains the names of other Programs that are of
a specific type. Example: I create a Program of Type "External
We had a kind of similar situation, where we wanted to use a custom
field to indicate the Approver. We are using Fusion to look for the
requests with that field, use the name in the field to attach the
correct Approval process. I made an Approval process for each of the
names. There was no way to use a custom field without involving Fusion
or some other 3rd party solution.
I tested the SharePoint integration out before we rolled out Workfront,
about a year and a half ago. It worked all right but the biggest issue
we had was the proofing and versioning aspect, especially versioning.
SharePoint can do versioning, and so can Workfront, but the 2 don't
mirror each other, and people would have to learn how to go to
SharePoint to do things separate from Workfront. You don't see the count
of versions in the details in Workfront. It just seemed too complicated
for our use...

How do you guys organize your reports so users can easily find what is
relevant? We have so many reports, and more being asked for and created
all the time, that putting them into dashboards is getting out of hand.
The dashboards get super long. I thought it would be useful to use
filters and groupings in the list, and the concept of report tags or
categories would help. One report could have several tags/categories and
the users could filter or group on them. For example, one report could
Thank you, Imre. I had found this but missed the section on
auto-provisioning. I will work on that setup. I had misread the
question. I thought it was about auto-provisioning external users, but I
see it is users within our AD who are not set up as Workfront users,
which is also useful. Thanks again.
