Re: [AEM Meetup] [Networking][08-Sep-17] Folks, introduce yourselves and get to know your peers!! diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi GuysThis is Dipti, working as Manager Technology in TO THE NEW. I started my career around 10 years back in Sapient, with PHP based CMS 'Drupal'. Then I moved on to Java with Fatwire CMS and finally started working with CQ. After being around 6 years in my comfort zone in Sapient, I decided to join a start-up, where I explored and worked on IBM WCM and Websphere Portal. After 2.5 years, I figured out that AEM is the only CMS which is in talks and hence I started working on AEM again. Now I am ...

Re: AEM integrate with SDL TMS Translation Connect issue diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi MajidI am assuming that you are able to get the translated XML from your server. Now once the XML is there, you can follow two approaches:1. If you are using Translation API (similar to bootstrap translation framework), then you can retrieve TranslatedDocument object and then use TranslationObject's available methods to set the xml. Reference service file:aem-translation-framework-bootstrap-connector/BootstrapTranslationServiceImpl.java at master · Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/aem… 2. You can extrac...

Re: How to integrate AEM 6.1 communities with an existing site? diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
Understood Souvik. Though I haven't done this in AEM 6.2 but I faced similar issue in CQ5.4 (approx 5 years back). If I remember correctly, giving relevant access rights to Anonymous user should resolve this issue. Where is your UGC getting stored? In our case we were storing it in JCR repository, so giving write access to '/content/usergenerated/.....' node helped. We were using reverse replication and hence ran into many issues but we could test it on Author too. Though as I mentioned before, ...

Re: How to integrate AEM 6.1 communities with an existing site? diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
So the architecture of Communities or any UGC content revolves around Publish instance only. It also depends on which SRP you are using, though it is recommended not to use JSRP for sure.Anyhow for enabling content entry for anonymous users for any communities component, there is a setting available in OOTB AEM Communities framework (screenshot attached). This removes the need for login to AEM. But to access Publish server as anonymous user, please give Read rights to 'anonymous' user too.In all...

Re: How to integrate AEM 6.1 communities with an existing site? diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
So we recently did a POC where we integrated OOTB communities components into existing templates. This is easy, because these components are same as other OOTB components. You just need to customize as per your requirements and handle the look and feel.We tried this out with Blogs and Comments but never customized Login component. But this should be doable, as login also exists as a component: /libs/social/console/components/hbs/login/Though using communities sites provides all these components ...

Re: How to prevent BOT Attacks in Form diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi SambasivarajaWe are also working on defining a solution for Bot attacks on forms, here is what we are doing:1. Honeypot technique: http://jennamolby.com/how-to-prevent-form-spam-by-using-the-honeypot-technique/ 2. CSRF: The CSRF Protection Framework (but this doesn't work for anonymous users and hence it is of no use to us)There are other ways to implement captcha too but Google's Recaptcha is the best bet. Recommendations for java captcha libraries - Stack OverflowAnother good read: Captchas...

Hi RajeevDid you get any solution for this? We are also working on a similar issue where bot attacks are happening on our application's public forms. We are planning to contact Security team but would be great to know if AEM provides any OOTB solution for the same.ThanksDipti

Re: AEM integrate with SDL TMS Translation Connect issue diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi MichaelSince you have accepted the translation at AEM and status was changed to 'Approved' once, this means that SDL TMS connector is probably changing the status again. For one of the connectors built by our organisation, we were playing around with these 'status' a lot. From my perspective either this is a defect in SDL TMS connector or there is some missing configuration which is required for approval part to work. So yes, as MC Stuff has mentioned, you should probably reach out to the con...

Sorry I am unable to attach uber jar here. But if you are able to access 'https://www.adobeprerelease.com/beta/04FD755F-8BC0-4CE4-CDA6-5E2503624B3C' , then you should be able to download the jar too.

Re: Upgrading from AEM 6.0 to 6.3 - Code deployment question diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
HiSorry couldn't revert earlier. I would suggest following approach:Deploy your code base to AEM 6.3 and simply try to build. Your build will show errors related to jars which are not compatible with 6.3. For such dependencies, you should look into Adobe's maven repository first. In case you are not able to find the jar, then go to OSGI bundles and search for the dependency name. Keep note of the bundle id and now go to your crx-repository on the file system. Let's say the bundle number is 102. ...

Hi AtulGenerally with launch of new AEM version, following documents are released:https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/develop/ref/javadoc/deprecated-list.html#packagehttps://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/develop/ref/diff-previous/changes.htmlhttps://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/release-notes/deprecated-removed-features.html This helps in identifying deprecations. As of now AEM 6.3 is in Beta state and I am sure it can be used only for some POC purposes. Re: Issue in sightly component after upgrade from 6.0 to 6.2 diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
The issue is resolved by granting admin like rights to system user. But the error message thrown was bit misleading and that's why I suspected that issue is in sightly. Thanks everyone for your valuable inputs.

Reference Component Caching Issue diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
We are facing issue with Reference component in terms of it's changes not getting reflected when master content changes. As per my understanding, when a component that is being referenced with the Reference component is updated, its references should automatically update when the page with the referenced item is re-published.We have a layer of dispatcher and Akamai in front of publishers. So the changes get reflected in Publishers but not on Dispatcher and Akamai. This means the related cache do...

Re: Translation Integration diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
You are absolutely right. I have also recently worked on Translation Connectors implementation. In our case we were always generating unique projects name at TMS, so even if language codes are being used in project names, it doesn't matter much. But in case the folder and project name is of any relevance, then in 6.2 the projects jcr:content contains a property coverUrl which contains name of the folder. This is of-course just a workaround.I am not sure if this is a defect or a feature because in...

Exposing AEM content to XML/JSON format diptinarang - Adobe Experience Manager
We have a requirement to expose some user generated content to feed format, so that it can be consumed by third party. Any best practises around this sort of implementation? I can think only of applying authentication on the exposed content.Any AEM OOTB features which can be used for implementing this feature?

Is this page cached? You would anyhow need to debug which all elements are taking more time to load. We had used Yslow plugin few years back to help in breaking down the actual response time. Thanks, Dipti
