Were you able to resolve this?I'm facing this when copying the truststore between instances. I'm following the procedure in Managing Subscriptions which I expected to fix this problem.I've found the solution to this, see Security Checklist -> "Replicating Keys for AEM 6.3"

Have a look at SAML 2.0 Authentication Handler There's a section about creating a saml logger. Debug entries should tell what's wrong.

Yes, but it's definitely not that case. I've checked with the authors and also I can see the "Refuse to create new version" msg across all the different sites. Even if they created a version of the page before rolling it out, I don't think it would produce this behaviour.

Update: simply excluding the anonymous user seems to have fixed the problem. It's a dynamic path though.

> Did this issue start happening or always been happening?I really don't know, since I just started investigating this and our logs don't go too far back. But there have been some reports of missing versions in the past, so I assume it has happened before. Seems rather infrequent though.> typically you see this message, when you activate a page again and you haven't done any change since the last creation of a version. That makes sense, but as mentioned, it's a new page, so there's no preexisting...

Hi,I've a few pages that have been rolled out using MSM and then manually activated/published. The problem is that some of them don't have any versions created on publication.Looking at a page with versions I see:{"jcr:primaryType": "cq:Page","jcr:createdBy": "...","jcr:created": "Tue Aug 15 2017 22:55:32 GMT+0000","jcr:content": { "jcr:primaryType": "cq:PageContent", "jcr:mixinTypes": [ "mix:versionable", "cq:LiveRelationship" ], "jcr:createdBy": "162738", "jcr:title": "Visa and health", "cq:la...

Hi,We're using crx2oak to do blue-green deployments. As a baseline I'm trying the parameter --copy-versions=false to see how much time/space can by gained by excluding versions. However when doing this, in the migrated repository on startup, I consistently get this error:31.07.2017 13:21:12.855 *ERROR* [FelixStartLevel] com.adobe.granite.repository.impl.SlingRepositoryManager start: Uncaught Throwable trying to access Repository, calling stopRepository()java.lang.RuntimeException: org.apache.jac...

It iterates the result hits and adds some of the properties to a set, but I think that doesn't really matter, as query.getResult() fails before going into that method.

Ah yes, I forgot to mention that we're changing that soon, closing the resource resolver in fact. But that would fix a potential session / memory leak, not the problem we're having. Also a quick inspection of the source code showed that sessions themselves are not reused.

Thanks a lot for all the comments. We're also considering using https://adobe-consulting-services.github.io/acs-aem-commons/features/system-notifications.html, which afaik will not enforce it, but should be enough for our use case.

Opkar, Nope, I wasn't using the rm-all flag. Jörg,Thanks a lot for the article. I was doing exactly that. The tip of the stacktrace generation when creating a new session is quite neat!In the end the problem was an hourly invoked process that was rebuilding some content packages and downloading them from aem. The rebuilding operation increases the size of the repository by the same amount as the package size (which is over one GB). I suppose this is because of the appending nature of the JCR imp...

Hi guys, thanks for the answers.I've seen some of these articles before, however the main problem is that the repository is growing really fast (like 1gb per hour) without any activity that could explain it. I've tried an off-line compaction. It was relatively fast (3 minutes) and the compression was quite good, however after restarting aem the repository started to grow again. Hence I really need to investigate the root cause of the problem. The latest suspect is the integration with adobe targe...

We've problems with a repository growing out of control. Luckily compaction helps a lot (we're using online compaction), but I'd like to determine what is being deleted (compacted).I'm using java -Dlogback.configurationFile=/tmp/logback.xml -jar ~/Downloads/oak-run-1.4.9.jar compact repository/segmentstore/ >>/tmp/oak-run.logwith logback logging at trace level to try to determine what is being deleted. Although it seems to be pretty close, it's not really telling me the path of the nodes that ar...

Sure. We're doing blue/green deployments, which create a content freeze window. During this time we tell the authors not to create any new content, because it will not be available in the new environment. We want to enforce that restriction.

Hi,I've created a java class that runs a content restructuring process when invoked. It makes use of a JCR session obtained through the request on a sling servlet. The process does various things: deletes nodes with subtrees, copies nodes, creates properties, tweaks LiveSync mixins, etc. The process is single threaded, however I see msgs like this in the log:11.10.2016 16:49:26.203 *WARN* [Thread-79] org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.jcr.delegate.SessionDelegate Attempted to perform getItemOrNull while ...

For reference I've confirmed that paths under /jcr:system/jcr:versionStorage are added under a .content.xml file and not as separate files. However they can't be installed on an author because since aem 6.1 it is a protected path. (https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/release-notes/deprecated-removed-features.html acl item)Crx2oak seems to be the only working option.

This is an intriguing answer. A few clarifications:What filter/s and pattern/s did you use to generate the package?Did you try to install the package in another author? If you did, did you get the expected files under /content and /jcr:system/jcr:versionStorage? As a final test, are you able to see the different versions of a page when using the authoring interface?Anything noteworthy in the logs?I'll change the log level to debug and try again in my dev environment.

> Not pretty sure, but just wondering if there are too many nodes in there it might be taking time and we are checking while this is happening. I'm not sure what you mean. But I can tell you a few things: When specifying just /jcr:system/jcr:versionStorage and a patterns like (.*) it takes about 6-10 secs to complete. When specifying a narrower path (like /jcr:system/jcr:versionStorage/c0/4e) it finishes in 2-3 secs.In any case it finishes and creates a mostly empty package. Is this useful?
