Hi guys,Can we please have release notes for extension upgrades? All we currently have is a single Upgrade button with an "are you sure?" blurb, with no info on what the update will actually do;This gives me zero confidence in upgrading any of the extensions, as if they break something I don't think I can revert the change. If I have release notes, then i could at least make an informed decision on whether to proceed with the update.A direct feedback link to the team that owns the extension would...

Would love to see some more useful/actionable information when a build fails - at the moment it simply gives me that there was a syntax error and a bunch of numbers which are not very useful to me (and the error goes over the page in Chrome); In the above example I have a pretty good idea of where the issue is as I just made the change, however in a production environment where i might be an approver with no context around what multiple users are doing, this will take me a lot of time to track do...

Would much prefer the code validation occur in the code editor itself, rather than fail on build - we get errors, but at that point i or another user might have made a heap of changes, so tracking this down will be challenging, especially as the message in Chrome seems to go beyond the screen, see screenshot below. Please, please add code validation to the custom code console

Hey Chad,I don't have a regex for you, but if you have access to the implementation itself as an alternative the most recent timeparting plugin provides an array of info including the time to the minute, time to the current 30min block, day of week and weekday/weekend.I then concatenate all of these values into a single eVar for collection and use auto classification rules to separate out each component into a minute/30min/day classification of that eVar.Hope that helps - if you don't have the t...

Thanks Shekhar - I'd already found that page, however that only covers the types of code offered, and not the actual detail for implementing this tag.For example, if I'm selecting javascript do I just need to include the javascript code, vs html where I need to include the tags? When should I use either option? Is there a suggested best practice approach?I've already gone through the help and not found it helpful for this issue, hence my reach out to the community 🙂J

Hi guys,I'm looking to integrate a 3rd party tag container across a subset of pages covered by DTM using a page load rule with appropriate path based conditions.I've been provided with literally the url to the container js file, ie. //www.abc.com/file.js, and I'm not sure whether I should embed this as a javascript tag as is, or a html tag with tags. Being a tag container, I need to load this top of page asynchronously. What is the best way for me to deploy this tag within DTM?Cheers, Jez

Thanks Rudi - I'm liking the direct call rules, and have already used then for some video milestone measurement, is there any down side to using them, or any limits on the number of direct call rules?

Thanks bbytheway, that's really helpful - do you know if s.t() and _satellite.pageBottom() are interchangeable?

Hi guys,I'm working across a site under an angular/ajax framework, and I'm wondering what the best practice is for dealing with this kind of site. In the past under straight s_code I've asked the dev team to populate contextData/custom variables and execute an s.t() with clearVars if needed each time the content loads, triggering a virtual page load. I'd then in my s_code have a bunch of rules and switch statements to set the appropriate props/eVars/events.Now using DTM, I can see how I could as...

Hey Venkatesh,I'm assuming you're talking about video milestones at 25% intervals - I was able to use the DTM based direct call rules to set the appropriate video eVars and events for each 25% milestone (one for each), however you will still need to integrate with your video player to trigger the appropriate milestone rule as the video time passes each 25% milestone.I've attached a screenshot of the direct call rule for the first 25% milestone as a reference. Perhaps one of the Adobe guys can co...

Hi guys,I'd like to set a cookie using DTM's _satellite.setCookie function, however it seems that I can only set a cookie against the specific subdomain of the site it's set on, rather than the domain.I'm tying to write a member id cookie on signup.domain.com based on a completed signup, and pick up that cookie value on community.domain.com, however when I look at the cookie itself I can see it's set against signup.domain.com, and is therefore not seen by community.domain.com.Is there a way I ca...

Hi guys, I'm increasingly running into situations where I'd like to use a full or transaction identifier from a 3rd party platform as a common identifier for SiteCatalyst's s.purchaseID and s.transactionID variables, however I can't as they are beyond the current 20char limit specified by SiteCatalyst. Likewise, if I want to serialise my custom events against a shopping cart generated session id, I can't as this id is typically longer than 20chars. Given that props are 100chars, and eVars are 25...
