Dear Experts,in the site editor, under page properties, there is an option "Hide in Navigation".After changing this attribute and publishing the page, dispatcher receives an invalidation request for this path. The navigation menu is updated there, but... there are many other pages with pre-rendered menu stored in cache. What would be a smart solution to update all affected pages without flushing the whole cache and causing horrendous response times?I would be very thankful for any elegant solutio...

Thanks for your answers!I tried it out, but it didn't went well. A lot of packages seem to have dependencies to older CFPs,so afterwards there are a lot of warnings in /crx/packmgrIf I go to Edit/Dependencies e.g. for cq-contexthub, I see:cq-platform-content, contexthub.content, cfp6, cfp7, cfp8, cfp9, cfp10So, my follow-up question is, what to do with such packages. Maybe remove dependencies to older CFPs to deactivate the warning?Best regards,Ivan

Dear Experts,in /crx/packmgr: if I select the latest CFP Package, under More/Older Versions there are all the anterior CFPs still availableI know that they cannot be restored so maybe it would be a good idea to just delete them? It would free a lot of spaceBut is it safe?Kind regardsIvanHere an example of what I would like to delete:

Unfortunately indexing didn't help to find the node. I suspect, it wasn't properly processed by DAM and does not have a sha1-Attribute. Is there some more direct/low-level way to search directly by blobId?

I tried searching by dam:sha1, but without success:SELECT * FROM [nt:base] WHERE [dam:sha1] LIKE '45ac32aa4c873131a981c938f62cb63a2ba48a17'Could you please point me in the right direction?Kind regardsIvan

Sorry, found the reason.Oak is running on NFS. After compaction some .nfs files stay behind. In the example log above: .nfsE86D61...These can be removed safely after oak-run exits.Kind regards,Ivan

Dear Experts, currently I observe a strange behavior on one of our AEM 6.2 (all updates installed) publish instances. Every time I run oak-run compact, repository gets bigger, instead of smaller. There are no errors and some tar files are really removed and added like here:size 115.7 GB (115699274801 bytes) removed files [data01280a.tar, data01429a.tar, data01389a.tar, data01564a.tar, data01393a.tar, data01235a.tar, data01410a.tar, data01456a.tar, data01293a.tar, data01375a.tar, data01579a.tar, d...

Dear all,I would like to be able to take consistent zfs snapshots of jackrabbit oak repository (currently used version 1.4.11, AEM 6.2 SP1). Unfortunately there seems to be no Flush&Lock mechanism integrated. I got the same problem on one of my instances todayThere was no folder "default" under /etc/cloudsettings, but one named ...before_upgrade_201701..., renamed it to just "default", went to /etc/cloudsettings/default/contexthub.edit.html, disabled contexthub and reenabled it. Then I could install SP1, but some packages were still not included automatically, had to click manually and "Update" each one in /crx/packmgr/

Dear All,I have a trouble with the Granite Workflow Queue. I have an automatic asset importer, which uploads a lot of assets. Each one creates a new workflow instance for DAM Update Asset. At some point the queue is really full and if in that time a human author uploads an asset, it takes up to 20 hours for the asset to be processed. Is there any way to set a lower priority for some user, so that any new items go to the top of the queue and the rest is processed in the spare time? Please point me ...

Dear Experts, sometimes when I upload an asset and want to use it in the editor, it cannot be found for a long time. Up to one day in some cases. I tried using a different browser to exclude caching problems, but it did not help. What could be an issue here and what can be done to remedy it?Fresh files become visible under /assets.html/content/dam right away, but do not appear, when any author (not just me) searches for them in the editor. Maybe some indexing issue? We use the 6.1 version with all...

Sorry for the delay. You are right, there is a lot of asset uploading going on and some regular site changes.Offline compaction reduces the size by more than 50 percent.Since 19. February there is a hotfix available to update oak to 1.2.11. Maybe it will get better after update?Kind regards,Ivan

I'm sorry, but the repo just keeps growing.I think, the compactor reclaims a little, but the newly produced garbage overtrumps all the progress. So, overall the size increases steadily.

Thank you a lot for you answers!Yes, I read once that online compaction is slower. The strange thing is, after a minute of compaction there is a message in the log "TarMK revision cleanup completed". Does the script continue running afterwards?

Dear AEM Community, for a while all the hotfixes for our server were dropped into the 'install' folder for automatic installation. I think, that using the CRX Package Manager is more appropriate and would like to switch. But if I just remove packages from 'install' directory, they get instantly uninstalled. And then I would have to upload&install each package individually over the /crx/packmgr interface again. What would be a clever way to migrate the packages from install folder into the permanen...

Dear AEM Community, after reading the docs, I successfully configured normal replication from author to multiple publisher and also reverse replication from multiple publisher instances back to author. Now if I activate something on author, it goes to all the publisher and also if I trigger reverse replication on one of the publisher, the content gets copied to the author. Very nice What I would like to do now is to make author propagate the new version, which it receives from one of the publishe...
