To configure YouTube integration in the DAM, we have followed the steps found here: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/author/assets/dynamic-media/video.html#Publishing videos to YouTube. Everything is working fine for videos up to 5MB in size. When we try to publish a 10MB video, the video never fully uploads to YouTube. The message in YouTube is that it is "Preparing Upload". We've let hours go by and it does not appear to make progress. Is it possible we are missing a setting somewhere?

We have configured Dynamic Media for Videos and Images by adding the cloud configuration and setting up the Dynamic Media Replication Agent. We are getting errors in our logs about FFmpeg(com.day.cq.dam.video.FFMpegTranscodeProcess Could not find ffmpeg's executable). There are steps in the out of the box DAM Update Asset workflow that use this. Do we need to install FFmpeg?I also ran across this help documentation: http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/administer/content/assets/video-transcoder...

We are trying to allow a user/group to create new users, but only as a member of certain groups. We have multiple "brand" super user groups. Each "brand" super user should only be allowed to add a new user to groups for their brand. With our current configuration, the group assignment works properly for existing users, but I am unable to create new users. The way we have the permissions set up under home is the following:~/home - Allow Read~/home/groups - Allow Read(applies to all child nodes as...

We are overriding the "Product Assets Upload" step in the DAM Update Asset because the product ids do not follow the supported naming convention for the Product Photo Shoot Project. In this step, we move individual assets or assets in a zip file to the proper product folders that were created when the shotlist csv is uplaoded. The assets are originally uploaded to the content/dam/projects/{YOUR PROJECT NAME}/incoming folder before they are moved to the correct content/dam/projects/{YOUR PROJECT ...

Thanks. We were originally going to do that. I just ran across this on another site and it worked. In 61, remove the uploadUrl property on widget node (sling:resourceType=granite/ui/components/foundation/form/fileupload) to disable the “Upload Image Asset” button

Is there a way OOTB to disable the Upload button in the granite/ui/components/foundation/form/fileupload control? We want to force the user to use images that were uploaded to the DAM.

I have updated the Workflow notification template located in /etc/workflow/notification/email/default/en.txt and saved the changes, but the changes are not being picked up. The original template is still being used for the email. I followed the instructions in the Email Templates for Workflow Notification section here: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/administer/operations/notification.html.

The cq5dam.web.1280.1280.jpeg rendition is created during the DAM Update Asset Workflow. Is this rendition needed if you are using Dynamic Media?

I have enabled Dynamic Media and followed the Installing and Configuring Video Transcoder with FFmpeg instructions(https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/content/assets/video-transcoder.html). In the SETTING UP THE DYNAMIC MEDIA FFMPEG TRANSCODING SERVICE section, the following is added to the arguments for the workflow step: profile:firefoxhq, profile:hq,profile:flv. Are these needed if we have specified a Processing Profile on our video folders in the DAM that uses the out of the box...

I don't see that in the Timeout Handler dropdown. I've attached a screenshot.

If I need to use the Absolute Time Auto Advancer, I can create a step that sets the absolute time for 24 hours in the future, but based on the documentation it seemed like using the Auto Advancer and setting the Timeout should work.

I did specify the default route and it worked when the timeout was set to Immediate.I ran another on test on a workflow that did not have an or split and it did not work with the timeout setting of 24h and the timeout handler of Auto Advancer. In case it matters, I am using AEM 6.1.

I set the Timeout Handler to Auto Advancer. Based on this documentation: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/develop/extending/workflows/wf-ref.html#Participant Step, I thought that this would auto advance the step after the duration I set in the Timeout field. Is this not correct?

I have a Participant step in a workflow that has the Timeout set to 24h and the Timeout Handler set to Auto Advancer. After 24 hours have passed, the workflow does not auto advance to the next step. I need this to auto-advance to the default branch of an or split. When using the immediate option, it did auto advance to the first step in the default branch of the or split.I originally thought the or split was the issue, but I took it out and it still isn't working in a simple workflow where it is...

In our DAM, we have Processing Profiles set up to default metadata for assets. With the OOTB configuration, the DAM Update Asset Workflow runs and executes these Processing Profiles correctly. We want to also run the DAM Metadata Writeback workflow on upload, so that the metadata set in the Processing Profiles is written back to the binary of the asset. I created a Launcher for this, but it fires before the DAM Update Asset workflow, so it doesn't writeback the metadata that is added via the Pro...

Thanks for the reply, but I was hoping to get a little more guidance. I had already reviewed that example.I need to pass a SlingScriptHelper and some of the inherited properties for the current page to my helper class. Is it possible to get these objects in the datasource jsp?

Has anyone successfully set up WebDAV on Windows 7? I have followed the instructions here: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/administer/content/webdav-access.html, but after entering the URL for the network location, I am prompted for credentials, but none work. I try admin and the password and also the user matching the user that has logged into the computer since the documentation for Windows 7 states: "In addition, you need to have a Windows user with the same credentials as the reposito...

I created a Sightly PageComponent and Template. I am able to select the Template when creating a new Page and everything seems to work ok. However, when I go to edit the Page Properties in the Touch UI, the Tags control renders differently than the Tags control for a Page that uses a non-Sightly Template/PageComponent and if a Tag is not selected, the Page Properties will not Save. I am running AEM 6 SP2. Is there an additional Hot fix/Feature pack that needs to be installed for this to work pro...

I figured out how to do this. You need to add a "touchUiDialogPath" property to the classic ui dialog you create and set it to the path where your touch ui dialog is. This appears to be supported in 6.1.

In AEM 6.0, the Dialog Participant Step was not supported in the Touch UI. Has this issue been resolved for 6.1? The article above does not address the Dialog Participant step.
