Error testing Dynamic Media viewer

I'm trying to run a local test of the Dynamic Media Interactive Image component. I've successfully created an asset and set hotspots on it. However, when I try to preview this in the context of a page, it's failing. In the console, I see a JS error:If I click on http://localhost:4502/is/image/conf/global/settings/dam/dm/presets/viewer/Shoppable_Banner I see an errorIs there some other package I need to install in my local instance to get this? Thanks

Custom hotspots on Dynamic Media Interactive Image
Avatar

I have a client who wants to be able to create hotspots on an image to highlight specific features of it. Dynamic Media seems like a good solution for that. However, they want multiple hotspot indicators (eg feature X has one icon, feature Y has another, etc). Also, they want the popup for the hotspot to have 2 parts - one that's consistent across all images/usages, and one that's specific to the image and use in the image. The first part seems like a good fit with experience fragments, but the ...

Yeah, a version would have been good to include... I'm on version 6.3. When I check that link you posted, the dialog looks like what I see in my local 6.4. So not sure if maybe something got mixed up there...

Configuring Smart Tags on a local AEM

I'm interested in testing the Smart Tags feature on a local instance. I took a look at the instructions in the video at Adobe Experience Manager Help | Set up Smart Tags with AEM Assets and have a few observations:1) My OSGI console doesn't have the DAM Similarity configuration available2) When I hit the http://imagesearchdemo-us-east-946297605.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com/ui/tag URL mentioned in there, I get a 503 error "Back-end server is at capacity"3) When I try to upload an image to test the...

I have a client who's interested in the AEM Asset Insights feature - Asset Insights I see there are some configuration steps that involve code on a website, and that makes sense to me. However, the link above indicate there is tracking of asset usage in emails as well. What are the mechanics of configuring that? Is it available with Adobe Campaign Classic, or just Standard? Thanks

Testing Analytics with Local AEM

Is it possible to test Analytics using a local AEM instance (i.e, running on localhost:4502) via Launch and an Analytics instance in the partner sandbox? Is there any documentation for this specific scenario?I've been trying to do this using the documentation I've found online, but no page visits are appearing in Analytics (disclaimer - I have a lot of experience with AEM but little to none with DTM/Launch and Analytics)I reviewed this Gem CQ Gems_27_Dynamic Tag Management Cloud Service_100114 w...

Which Cumulative Fix Pack are you using? I've heard CFP 11 can cause this behavior. There's a constant CQ.PAGE_PROPERTIES_MAX_RECURSION_LEVEL defined in /libs/cq/ui/widgets/source/constants.js that will interfere with paths like pagenode/jcr:content/level1node/actualpropertynode. You need to overlay that file and increase the recursion level to the depth you require.

I just ran a few more tests, and looks like this is functionality that updated in 6.3. 6.1 and 6.2 append .html to everything, 6.3 distinguishes between internal and external links.

Have you tried that against v6.1? My test was showing the latter example DID add .html to the external URL.

Rendering a link that might be internal or external

I'd like to allow authors to specify the href of a link by either using the pathbrowser to browse to a path on the site like /content/site/path/to/page, or pasting in an external URL, like http://www.example.com. In the first case, I would want to append .html; in the second, I wouldn't. This seems like a reasonably common scenario, so I was thinking there might be some OOTB support, either in Java APIs, or Sightly/dialog functionality. I haven't found anything yet - is there anything? Or ACS Co...

Intended use case for granite.jquery's csrf.js

We’re running into some Javascript errors in Internet Explorer that we’ve tracked down to /etc/clientlibs/granite/jquery/granite/csrf/source/csrf.jsSpecifically, the line handleForm(result.contentWindow.document)is a problem when an iframe contains content from a different domain.I suspect I can set up an overlay to work around this, but wanted to get some input as far as what the intended use case for this behavior is, or if there are specific components in AEM that are relying on it, so we can...

cq:includeClientLib in a component that might be part of a teaser

I'm having some challenges around clientlibs and personalization. It seems like one of the real strong benefits of the clientlib concept is the ability to put a cq:includeClientLib tag on a component, and let AEM manage only including it on the page once. However, this breaks down when using the personalization functionality, where HTML fragments are loaded via Ajax.As an example, I tried this with the Adaptive Image component. I created a page with a parsys. I dragged an adaptive image onto the...

Something other than the Link Checker that would modify markup?

Is there a service other than the Link Checker that would modify href attributes in markup?I have a servlet that returns some json data. Part of that data is a string representing a Handlebars template, which includes a section (after escaping) like is not valid markup and fixing it for me, but I'm not finding any obvious candidates for that.

Hi edubey,You understand correctly, but I should have been more clear in the first post - this only happens in the Touch UI. I've edited the post to reflect that. But here's a screenshot of what I see. Thanks,Joel

I've been finding that when I double click the "Drag components here" area of a parsys to add a component in TouchUI, the list available is incomplete. It seems to affect Geometrixx. I'm seeing it in the right sidebar with "popular articles" on http://localhost:4502/editor.html/content/geometrixx-media/en/entertainment/summer-blockbuster-hits-and-misses.html. I can drag a Popular Articles component, but if I double click, the Popular Articles isn't available. Is this a bug?

I have a page component, which includes a JSP called getString.jsp that's intended to be called via Ajax, like domain.com/path/path/page.getString.html. This was working fine in CQ 5.4 - when I call that URL, I get a simple string value. When I upgraded to AEM 6.1, I started getting the correct string, but with an HTML comment similar to this after itI tried migrating that functionality to a servlet in my OSGi bundle instead of a small JSP, but the result is the same (that HTML comment above act...

Sorry, I'm not finding the previous question to reference. Is this something that will be restored in the future, or is the idea that it would be a better authoring practice to upload from your machine directly to the page, rather than uploading to the DAM first? Or a better component design to just give the author a pathfield to the DAM rather than the smartimage?

It looks like not - I'm checking out this page in the Geometrixx sample /content/geometrixx-media/en/entertainment/summer-blockbuster-hits-and-misses.htmlAnd if not, is there a recommended pattern for handling this in the new UI?Thanks

Found it!In my first post, I mentioned "I also tried looking in CRXDE Lite /apps/system/config for the configuration I set via Felix". I don't know which article I found that suggested looking there, but it turns out there was a node in /apps/cq/commons that appears to have the values I set in the Felix interface. This node was taking precedence over the node I created in my actual project. Thanks for your time, all.

That also doesn't seem to be making a difference. When you add the \ character, as inexternalizer.domains="[local\ http://donotuse.com,author\ http://donotuse.com,publish\ http://donotuse.com,project-placeholder\ http://project-placeholder.com]"/>do you see that character in CRXDE Lite after deploying? I don't; I'm assuming it's behaving as an escape character, so I shouldn't see it, but wanted to double check.

I'm using AEM 6.1, and writeback is enabled. Here's a screenshot of what I see in CRXDE Lite after deploying my packageAlso, here's a screenshot of my project in Eclipse - hopefully that explains where the XML file I'm referring to comes from. I believe the other OsgiConfigs in there are working properly.
