Used to be able to use the Ctrl/Command + Enter hotkey (like in
outlook/gmail/etc.) to post updates. Wanted to add this to the
innovation lab in case other people miss that feature too. Would love to
see it come back in a future release.
I would love to see this on tasks as well, we frequently need to change
the planned completion date on tasks that are out for approval, and it
is rather messy to set the task back to in progress in order to edit the
dates. My first thought would be to enable the ability to edit objects
under approval under Setup > Processes > Approval Best,Simon Nabors
Hi @Richard Leek‚, Thank you for your response, that is very helpful. Do
you know if something similar would be possible for a calculated custom
field on a form? We use the below calculated field on our users home
page to take them to the subtask page of their task's deliverable (the
parent.parent task). Currently, the full link displays on the Home
pages, but if there would be a way to set a standard string to display
instead that would be preferred.
I am wondering if we could have updates from child tasks be visible on
the summary task's Updates tab, similar to how all of the updates on
project tasks are visible in the project-level Updates tab. We set up
all of our projects to include a summary task for each deliverable, but
currently updates on child tasks can not be viewed from the summary
task's Updates tab. It would be great if the Updates tab for each
deliverable (summary task) could contain updates from all tasks that
fold up under i...
Customizing email notifications/event notifications is also a huge
priority in our instance. While it is currently marked "Not planned", it
might not hurt to upvote the idea linked below. I understand that this
would likely take a significant investment of resources to develop, but
it would be a game changer for us.
I would also like to see a setting where we could set notifications to
go to an entire team. The way that we work around this for now is by
having a shared dashboard that all members of the team know to check
regularly. Then, if a member sees a task come in on one of the reports,
they can click on the task and "claim" the work by removing the team
assignment and replacing it with their own name (which any work license
should have the permissions to do, as long as they are on the team that
This would be an enormous win for us. We have power users that have no
issue clicking "See it in Workfront" or even linking to the project when
they get an email notification, but our not-so-power users struggle
enormously because the email notifications do not tell them enough
information about what tasks have been marked off/what is now ready to
Like Aileen, I have a lot of trouble with users clicking "Work on it"
and then wondering why tasks that are not ready to start are showing up
on their Home (because they have the Home filters showing "Working On").
Also, I would like to second the suggestion that the "See it in
Workfront" link be the largest button.
