It is highly disappointing that this is something not being considered. Any organization doesn't have 1 team that works on a task.... 

This is a MUST have. Should be part of Task Details for sure.

You can prevent logging time at the Project level in global settings.... thanks to Dagmara for this handy screenshot:It would be the 1st box that needs to be checked off.

Hi Sarah, you can prevent logging at the project level by setting the project to "closed" or an equivalent closed status. There's just no way to do it at a task level.
