At the top of projects it would be helpful to be able to customize what
you want to see to be able to add perhaps Project Sponsor, Latest PM
updates notes - custom field. Sometimes people don't want to scroll
through all the updates, so if the Project Manager could be identified
in the system and either at the top or in the Updates you could go right
to their updates - perhaps they are highlighted in red or there was an
option - Latest PM Update and you click it and it takes you right to it
Ok, not sure if you've ever seen a Quick View on a website like when
ordering flowers but you can hover over an item and select Quick View
and it will show you only key details of that project. Would be nice if
you could create a custom Quick View for users on your projects that
could be identified like Project Sponsor, Project Owner, PM Latest
Notes, etc. so you could do a quick glance.
Hi there, we continually have issues with the resource planning and the
fact that FTEs don't really work 8 hours a day just on projects. The
options in the system to account for this are not great and can cause
issues. In this world of working remotely from anywhere - someone
mentioned a tool that used to be in LIquid project - in there you were
able to tell the system the number of hours in a week you have available
for project hours. So what if a user could set that and also state the
Currently when bringing in a MS Project plan to Workfront you can only
do it as a New Project. However, what if you have an existing project
and you want to add an MS Project Plan you have and it's tasks into it.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to important that - just like adding
another template to an existing project which you can do. Now maybe it
won't come in perfectly - true, but you could give the user a warning
that those items would come in that way and maybe having it auto load to
Ok, so I can schedule my tasks from my Work list on my calendar, it
bidirectionally syncs with my Outlook so I can see the task in Outlook.
So Outlook pop ups the item as a reminder to do the task...but it's
empty - it would sure be helpful if inside that meeting/task it create
it Outlook it had a link to that exact task in Workfront so you could
just click it and update it! So easy!
When sending a proof to a client through Workfront I have no way of
preview how it's going to be presented to my clients. For example, I
just recently found out that I can't copy and paste messages into the
Workfront field because it'll add large gaps in between each sentence.
This makes the reading experience for my clients difficult and when I
preview the message it looks normal.
There needs to be a way to export all proofs to .pdfs. We do this for
archiving purposes. Right now I have to go proof by proof individually
and select print summary and save as pdf. There should be an option to
print all proof summaries. When a project has 20 to 30 proofs associated
with it, this becomes a very cumbersome task.
I often get users who are receiving notifications they don't want to
receive. However, there are some tasks or issues or projects they want
notifications on but others they don't. In the system you clearly can't
modify based on the exact project, issue or task. However, in JIRA you
can. There is an option that says "stop getting info on this project"
and you can enable or disable it by project. Wouldn't it be great if
Workfront had that ability so you could tell the system specific ones
you did ...
Workfront does an amazing job at putting together release
notes/overviews, arranging for webinars, creating videos on those
changes and answering questions. However, I think this AMAZING service
being offered is very underutilized and underadvertised. I propose that
all Planners and Workers be invited to/allowed to attend any webcasts
Workfront is doing around roadmaps, strategy and releases and be able to
access all the info in the Overview including the videos. Having this
restricted is cumber...
