  • We would also love to be able to customize the fields, we want to be able to see the due dates and the planned / actual times on the timesheet.

The documentation took a downturn recently when they moved it to be inside the support articles. Various suggestions: Condense pagesFix all the "Whats New" pages, the links are scattered and sparse. *Move the API docs out of the support section*. I know they have developersupport.workfront.com unde...

I think it's a good rule of thumb not to put commas or colons in a field name, and workfront should prevent that in the UI. However I can confirm that a custom field with a comma is allowed, and WILL return in a report, but CAN'T be used in an API query. Querying my custom Project field (/project/...

  • Hi, I'm using the workfront API and I can't seem to get it to sort anymore. It used to work, and I've tried it with a few variations of sort criteria, but I haven't been able to get the users in alphabetical order. /attask/api/v7.0/User/search/?fields=name&name_1_Sort='ASC' Andrew Knieriem Mahle Pow...

    API
  •  in Workfront Ideas 11/17/17
You could simply use the API to pull all users with a particular role. /attask/api/v7.0/user/search/?role:ID=5a0369dd0067c737108876459ce43853 Or if you need to say, count the number of users per role you could do a report /attask/api/v7.0/user/report/?role:ID_1_GroupBy=true&role:name_AggFunc=count ...

On second thought the best way to implement it for you might be to automatically recreate a sandbox-only admin account each week for your developers to use. That way they do not have access to the production and they don't have to change any authentication they have set up. API keys can be automatic...

Can't you do this through the UI? For example go into Projects, check mark a few of them, and then click the edit button to edit all of them at the same time.

You could do an API search of the projects and filter down to a particular program. /attask/api/v7.0/Project/search/?fields=condition,plannedCompletionDate,percentComplete,program&program:ID=5644dea3011a50814be3834b84d8e774&status_Mod=in&AND:0:status=CUR&AND:0:status=PLN&AND:0:status=APR Breakdown:...

You have a valid point. Since each week the sandbox gets wiped clean and replaced with live data, it's very hard to keep them separate. There's no easy way to prevent those who have access into the sandbox from getting access into the live data; the credentials into the sandbox more than likely woul...

I've there's very little navigation available when viewing an Idea Exchange's post. It would be nice to see the post name up in the breadcrumb (below the workfront banner) and a hyperlink to the post on the same page. Copying the current url when viewing a post may not be suitable as it could have b...
