I couldn't find a clear answer in the documentation- but what are the number of breakdowns supported by Reporting API 1.4 and Data Warehouse API 1.4?

@vibhatna- The id for dimension visitor_id is 'visitorid' and I am able to correctly retrieve this from DWH as shown in the screenshot (added screenshot in question) when i specify 'source':'warehouse' in the request body. My question, however, is when i remove 'source':'warehouse' and simply want to using the Reporting API 1.4, the same id, i.e, 'visitor_id' gives me an error saying "Element combination not supported".

I had previously extracted "visitorId" from Data Warehouse API 1.4 but I am unable to do so using Reporting API 1.4-it gives the error "Element combination not supported". Is this element not available for extraction in Reporting API 1.4?

Suppose I'm trying to found out the total number of products purchased on my website, (counting in the cart additions and subtracting the cart removals), would 'product' dimension be the one I go to?Does Adobe do these calculations on backend ? Currently, I'm using approximate count distinct function with products dimension and it gives me all products added to cart without excluded cart removals. Any ideas?

@vibhatna- I am seeing a considerable difference between the two metrics upon extracting data from data warehouse tool, is that because he ‘Visits’ metric in Data Warehouse excludes visitors that don’t have persistent cookies (according to documentation) ? They have mentioned that he ‘Visits - All Visitors’ metric is comparable to the ‘Visits’ metric in other Analytics tools

Hi, I'm trying to extract data via Adobe dwh api 1.4-however, I can't seem to extract 'Visit-All visitors" metric that is exclusive to data warehouse. I'm passing variables in the body of the request through variable id which makes me think if the id i'm using for that variable is wrong. Can anybody help me figure out the id for "Visit-All Visitors" metric? Ps- I tried using this endpoint "https://api.omniture.com/admin/1.4/rest/?method=ReportSuite.GetEvents"but the metric "Visit-All Visitors" w...

Hey! I have been trying to compare reports generated from Reporting API 1.4 and DataWarehouse API 1.4- to my surprise, the reports vary A LOT. I've passed the same variables as dimensions and metrics.I know Reporting API 1.4 accepts breakdowns <4 and this is what I followed. Are there any other limitations which is giving me wrong reports in Reporting API? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't see any reason for the reports to be different.Thank you!

The plan is to get it in a dataframe and do some transformation further on. In DWH API 1.4, we're able to get metrics broken down by dimensions- is there a similar work around for API 2.0 where in we can have calculated metrics broken down by dimensions?

Hey! I wanted to extract a few calculated metrics along with certain number of dimensions (breakdowns) where in both calculated metrics and dimensions are greater than 1.In the Adobe Data Warehouse UI, I couldn't find my calculated metrics so I assume warehouse doesn't support this? Any other API(1.4 / 2.0) that could fit my use case? Any help would be highly appreciated, thank you!

@amgup- will check that, but couldn't hourly granularity be causing this duplication for visits that might span across several hours?

@HemanginiS - Yes, did try that as per the documentation but the numbers are still more than those in workspace. What could be the reason for that?

I noticed a difference between numbers returned by visits metric in Analytic workspace and visits metric numbers from Data warehouse report (on hourly granularity) From my understanding, it could be because of the following case- If a user visits my website and their visit lasts for 2 hours, then in hourly granularity, visit would be attributed to both Hour1 and Hour2 Can anybody help me validate my assumption? Are there any other possible cases where numbers would show a difference?

Hi- this might be a fairly basic question for someone familiar with Data warehouse reports, but I'm new to it, any help would be appreciated! I was trying to fetch data as follows-The first dimension (say d1) was broken down by another dimension (say d2), further broken down by dimension d3 which is a list var. I expected the report to look something like this-d1 d2 d3A X a,b However, the report looked something like this-d1 d2 d3A X aA X b Is this an expected behaviour or am I missing something...

Would it be correct to say that - It's possible for a visitor visiting my site for the nth time (Visit Number-'n')can have multiple visits(Visits metric >1) corresponding to that particular visit number?

@amgup- This might be the reason. I'm seeing another dimension (say A) instead of the product dimension. Are there any settings I can configure to verify this?

I'm fairly new to Adobe Analytics and have a basic conceptual query- Since the Products variable is a custom string, how can we define the dimension items? And, if, we were to pass product id as the leading string in the products variable, is there any way to find out the total of product id's passed? (Considering the case where we are tracking multiple products at once )

@yuhuisg- I did verify it. As I mentioned- I can see that the instances are getting incremented, but to the old value, not the new one

@yuhuisg- Yes! This is why I don't understand what might be wrong. I ran the report yesterday(with all the changes made) and this is what I saw 'prerna' -5 (instances). There is no instance of 'prerna1' and it's quite surprising.

Yes. Even after implementing the change, I cannot see the changed prop value in the reports.

I changed the prop's value only (in custom code- s.prop=""); While i understand it would not change existing data attributions, shouldn't new data be attributed to the new value of prop? Even in the reports i see only the old value.

HiSo i changed the value of a prop, but all the data (new) is getting attributed to the original value. Any idea why that might be happening or is there any way to bypass this except using processing rules?
