I've been using AEM to make XFs to export to Target. The more variations and complex things get, I've made several folder paths and some variations share names, but in different folders. Example: I have folders for production, staging, and qa. Under each folder, I have copies of XFs for my devs to work with. When I export an XF to Target, I'd like to export the file structure to Target. Is there a way for this to happen? For instance I export "xf_1" under the QA folder, in Target I want to go in...

I just viewed the video on using dataProvider with the weather api. It set a mbox parameter and then based off that mbox parameter, we tell the activity to qualify a particular offer. What I'm trying to do is use dataProvider to grab HTML from a 3rd party and then use that HTML as my offer on a page. Can this be done? It looked more like it just set parameters for an activity qualifier. Example: I have HTML banners for all different screen sizes elsewhere. Based on a users screen size parameter,...

Thanks, this was extremely helpful. To follow up, I have another question but its related to this. It's been over a year since I worked in Target. I have seen that mbox.js is basically no longer supported. Is there documentation on best practices to create and implement custom mboxes? I see lots of documentation for the global mbox, but not custom mboxes - thanks!

I'm trying to figure out if I can use or create an mbox in Target to run a multi-page test and have it work like URL refinements. Example: I have 100 products and I want to run a banner on 50 of the products. Product URLs have unique IDs and the URLs are not very SEO friendly.Example URL: '/lang/product/unqId123/product-name' ---- Ideal URL: '/lang/product/shared-path/product-name' Because of the unique ID, I'd have to target ALL products using the url that has '/lang/product' in the URL. Is it ...

Thanks for the answer. I tried this and I added to the cq:template the name of the tags filter I'm using which you can see above I have as cq:tags (but for fun, i also tried just 'tags') and added the path of a tag as a string and I'm not seeing it populate as a default chosen tag. I made a new tag just called "test" under a global folder. The path should be "/content/cq:tags/global/" - could you by chance provide an example of the code?

Note: I'm a front-end developer and not a java developer. If this needs to be handled in the backend, please let me know.I'm working on a project that allows filterable tags. There are some tags I'd like to have populated by default, without the content creator having to find and select them. Is there a way to do that in the .context.xml dialog? Attached is my current code and what it looks like in the dialog box. Use case: I have 2 tags selected. Is there a way to have them populated by default...

I'm working on a content fragment which has several single line, multi-line and binary inputs. One example of a single line input, I've named title. In my HTML, I'm able to access the title value like this: Current HTML: ${fragment.elements[0].value} This works, but it's not the best method if I want to change the content fragment order later in any way. Is there a way to access the value of my title input some other way? Example: ${fragment.elements.title.value} or ${fragment.elements["title"]....

Thank you. I did send an email and hopefully will hear back soon. It would be nice if there was some sort of local build that devs could get to learn the platform. No commercial rights, just whats needed to build a local site and see how it all works.

I'm looking to learn AEM Sites and eventually get AEM certified. I'm looking to do this on my own, not through a company or for any side business. Is there a way for someone to gain access to a jar I can use locally to simply build and learn? I won't be using this for any client business or making a profit. I'm thinking of it as learning any other CMS. If this is possible, please let me know. Thanks!
