I am trying to add a dialog in dynamic participant step. So, it will grab some inputs from the assignee and store for the workflow instance. I have created a component under apps//... like I do for other components. The component have simple dropdown which has simple date picker functionality and a dropdown. If No is selected from dropdown, it will hide date picker and will show up if yes is selected from dropdown. I have added a path to that in the dialog property of dynamic participant step. I...

Hi @Vijayalakshmi_S , thanks for a quick reply. Actually the issue is resolved now. I didn't have latest AEM service pack 6.5.2 installed. After installing it, the date picker is working as expected and the data is being stored for workflow instance.I have marked the answer as accepted. Can you please edit the main answer from thread. Thanks again for help 🙂

Thanks @Vijayalakshmi_S , The datepicker is being shown now to the assignee. However, can you please mention where the data for that datepicker is saved. I tried following https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/experience-manager/6-3/sites/developing/using/workflows-step-ref.html#ParticipantStepsandChoosers and added name as './datetimepicker'. But I don't see any data associated with the datepicker for the instance under /var/workflow/instances. I do see other data for the instance like assignee, model, co...

Hi @Vijayalakshmi_S , Thanks for quick reply. By "However, to note the dialog box is shown in next dynamic participant step instead of the one in which I have mentioned the dialog path" I mean that the dialog tries rendering inside next dynamic participant step instead of the one in which I mentioned dialog path. However, it shows same error in that step too and it fails rendering. Regarding the dialog structure, The DateTimePicker node is of type cq:Component only. And the dialog field resource...

I am sorry that I forgot to mention that I also tried keeping /etc/workflow/dialogs/DateTimePicker/cq:dialog as a dialog path but it throws same error. However, to note the dialog box is shown in next dynamic participant step instead of the one in which I have mentioned the dialog path. Inside the '/etc/workflow/dialogs/DateTimePicker/cq:dialog' property I have 3 properties, jcr:primaryType: nt:unstructured, jcr:title: Date and Time picker, sling:resourceType: cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog....

I am trying to set dialog in dynamic participant step. I assigned participant dynamically and chose dialog path but it is giving me this error when I try to complete action assigned. I followed steps of 'DIALOG PARTICIPANT STEP - TOUCH-OPTIMIZED UI' from https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/experience-manager/6-3/sites/developing/using/workflows-step-ref.html#ParticipantStepsandChoosers but still getting this error. The structure of the dialog looks like this. The path to dialog I am providing is '/etc/wo...

Thanks Raghav. Actually I wanted initiator's input for scheduling the activation of page. And I wanted to add date picker component for that. Now, I am adding dynamic participant step and assigning it to initiator. However, I am facing issues even after following https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/experience-manager/6-3/sites/developing/using/workflows-step-ref.html#ParticipantStepsandChoosers . I tried adding dialog in dynamic participant step. It shows 'touchUiDialogPath' property invalid or missing

Can I provide one more option inside 'start workflow' dialog box? Actually I want to provide an option to select date and time if a particular workflow is selected (let's say workflow model A) inside this dialog box. Can I somehow override it?

I want to have a custom step/ dialog where the content approver can choose when the content should be published. This is my workflow design. The first step is dynamic participant step where the approval will be assigned to a group dynamically. The approver can either reject or accept the changes and it will immediately publish the page (the branch 2 has a process step for activate page) if the content is accepted. I want to provide option to the approver to choose when the content should be publ...

You mean I should always point local to localhost:4502 even for dev, QA instances? For author and publish, I have configured it to point to author and publish URL. If I keep local to localhost:4502, the workflow email sends http://localhost:4502/aem/inbox links. These email templates are under /libs/settings/workflow/notification/email/default/en.txt.

I am using OOTB email for workflow (checked email option in dynamic participant step). The email contains link to localhost:4502/bin/... and I want that link to point towards dev/ qa etc environments. I assume that the link is coming from 'Day CQ Link Externalizer' local property. After updating local value to author URL, it works fine but after each maven build the value in local gets overwritten. I have two issues here.1. What's the actual meaning of having local here? Will it impact anything ...

I am facing an issue when I enable lazy loading. The images get disappeared as soon as I enable lazy loading. The problem also occurs when I try configuring widths of images from the option given below the 'Display caption as pop-up'. I am using AEM 6.5.
