Repeating Subform Set of pages with accumulating total fields. Possible?

UPDATE: I have figured out how to repeat the pages infinitely and get grand totals to appear, however I wanted the totals to actually accumulate every time a subform set is added and not have the entire form grand totals from page one on. Does that make sense? I have replaced the document with the updated one incase anyone is able to take a minute to help me figure this out.A link to the updated file:https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PgZNO6ljXEXHSjK4ksl94Bmj6L4WIqIs?usp=sharing__________Is...

As a rule, I've always been taught not to have spaces in file names because the link is basically broken after the space. Sometimes the computer/browser will replace the space with a %20 to complete the link. Even when you put a link with spaces in an email the part of the link after the space is not recognized. Apparently this is just a best practice in the technical/IT world and not a mandatory practice. Here is one place I see Adobe mentioning to take the space out of a file name (make note t...

Thank you for your quick response. We have discovered spaces in file names can technically be uploaded without error. My worry is that it could be problematic for other operations within AEM? No?

Naming Conventions in AEM for XDP files

We are in the process of uploading XDP forms created in Designer into AEM as HTML files. I'm having a hard time finding documentation stating why we should not have spaces in the XDP file names before we upload them. I know it is the proper way to name files but I need documentation (proof and reasoning) to present in order to suggest a procedure change. Can anyone direct me to this as I know it exists just cant find it for this exact use case. Thanks!

I was just using the Field and Binding tabs under Object panel to set up a 12 hour and 24 hour time field as they work just fine as a PDF. However, when I view in Preview HTML, these properties do not work. So I guess I was thinking if we used JavaScript instead of using the Object properties it might work in HTML. I've had no luck though.

XDP to HTML Conversion - Designer Time Field validations not working in HTML

Good Morning,We are in the process of converting all Designer forms into XDP files then uploading to AEM. In this process, I have discovered that the time object validations are not working in HTML. When the user types the value into these objects (we have a 12 hour and 24 hour object created), it simply disappears upon exit. I've tried to use multiple validation formats and get nothing but a Validation error, even when I type it exactly what the validation calls for. This field works perfectly ...

Thank you for all the information with the HMTL! This is helpful. I see now that this sort works alphabetically and it even works on the dates. This is a generic table that i'm working on for my team to use in their forms if the need arises. It could include numbers such as check numbers. Is there a way to cover both basis? This is kind of a template if that makes sense.

I opened the file in Acrobat and it does not keep the blank row at the bottom of the table. I also see that if I use digits that vary in decimal placed they do not go in the proper order, i.e., 10 is a lower number than 3 in the sort. Is the sort working on your system?

We are in the phase of building our 2000 forms from Word and Excel into Designer PDFs. Then we will take those and produce XDP files which will then be uploaded to AEM environment for publishing. We will eventually get them into Adaptive but for now, I'm trying to get them into XDP as HTML5 keeping in mind the end goal is Adaptive forms. We are a govt agency so its the path I have to take. Does that help explain my situation?

Thank you so much! I appreciate your time. I replaced the sortRoutine script and realized when testing that it didn't force the blank rows to the bottom so if you have any ideas on what I can do differently I would love to hear them. Unfortunately using this updated script or my original script is crashing Designer in the HTML preview. Any advice or thoughts on how to make this work in both PDF/XDP and HTML for AEM would be appreciated.

Sorting Data in a Dynamic Table - Need blank rows forced to the bottom after the sort.

Hello All,I have successfully utilized the sort table function within a dynamic table using the John Brinkman Sales Report file. It works beautifully, the magic is in the Variables script. It would be amazing to take this one step further and update the code to always list any blank rows at the bottom of the table no matter if the sort is ascending or descending. John's script does not account for this so if anyone can help me tweak this code to make that happen, I would be eternally grateful. M...

Need a table to expand based on user entered values from a column of a separate table

I have a form that has two expandable tables (using an add row button). The first column of each table should mirror each other when the user enters values of either table. The issue is that if I set the table row Initial Count to 3, only 3 values populate in the table that is pulling in the values. How do I get the values of the user entered table's column 1 to populate the 2nd table's column 1 and add the appropriate number of rows based on the entered values? I have provided a link to the fil...

Floating fields inside text box not allowing other fields to flow
Avatar

Hello all, I am using AEM Designer v6.5 to build forms. I am attempting to utilize floating fields and I have a strange situation. The text box where the floating fields are placed work perfectly, they flow and expand the way they should. However, if the user types a large amount of information, the rest of the form fields do not flow with the text box. Its almost like they are set to positioned or on another layer that isn't communicating with the rest of the document. The kicker is that every ...
