Let me add one relevant question here:We have a handful of custom page
property dialogs for templates in 5.6.1. These do not show out in touch
UI siteadmin. So, how can we quickly port these to show in Touch UI so
that users can change properties effectively in Touch UI sites.html and
also in the classic sidekick UI when editing?
We run two property IDs on our pages (global and local). The local one
is set via:var _gaq = _gaq || ; _gaq.push(["siteTracker._setAccount",
"UA-XXXXXX-YY"]); _gaq.push(["siteTracker._setAllowLinker", true]);
_gaq.push(["siteTracker._trackPageview"]);We are trying to add event
rules to send to siteTracker instead of the default tracker. How do we
do this in AEM?
We have a legacy pattern in links that we need to parse into a Google
Analytics call.LinkThere are unlimited
numbers of these links.I can envision using Data Elements to populate
the tracker, but don't know how to add a global element that can be used
for events like this. Any ideas on how to do this in DTM?
If I understand, we would populate a data element based on a URL or DOM
element on the page then write a JS routine to look up a value. I guess
we could put a page property on each page that was inheritable. The
property could be put into a JSON object on the page and read into a
data element directly with no DTM JS coding. Would that work?
On every AEM page we put a global Google Analytics property ID and for
many subdomains/subdirectories we place a local site ID in addition.
Google Tag Manager uses a lookup table to map page urls to variables. We
need to setup something like this in DTM. What is the best way to do
I am sorry for the very delayed reply. We looked at the options and
there are a few. A good one is building robust rules on DTM to deliver
at the URL level, but for a few reasons we went another route.We use two
cloud services for each site. We leverage ACS Commons to easily do
this.1. Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager config for the global ID that we place
on our global homepage. This is inherited on everything.2. Generic
Analytics Snippet config for each site that places the additional GA
We have a global property ID and site level IDs and I'm looking for the
best way to implement.Examples that need to be covered:www.domain.com -
property ID 1www.domain.com/dept1 - property ID 1 + property ID
2dept2.domain.com - property ID 1 + property ID 3The scripts on the page
should not duplicate Google Analytics code, it should simply send 1 or
more property IDs in the single call. I have tried using rules to insert
a second ID, but that doesn't seem to work. I don't want to have to
