found out that the slingrequest is taking the request from the component after editing and not the request for the page.

so i have a form on a page that grabs from the usergenerated content, the url for such a page is:/content/usergenerated/content/testpage/1382123150641_user_1.form.html/content/testpage/viewI want to redirect to the editing version of the form so i set up a hidden field with element name :redirect and value ${slingRequest.requestURI}.form.html/content/testpage/editIn previous versions of 5.4 this would actually grab the url but in 5.6.1 it only gives the suffix "/content/testpage/view". anyone el...

here's the attached image that shows a floating edit dialog that cuts off the rest of the buttons (does not wrap). It's not so much of a problem with the floating dialogs as you can resize them to show the rest of the button. The real problem is that editing dialogs that are not floating, you can't resize them so it becomes a problem. The API doesn't seem to have a setting for this. But it does mention that is should be line-wrapped already in the "adjustEditorToToolbarHeight" config discription ...

just updated to the newest 5.6.1 from 5.4 and the text component (with richtext enabled) buttons don't wrap to the new line anymore. So buttons like source code are cut off to the right. For now, a temporary fix is we have the edit window pop out by having cq:dialogMode = floating and the user then can resize the window if he/she needs to hit the extra buttons. But is there a way to have the buttons wrap around like it did in 5.4?

i guess for us we were keeping the stats so we can have a report on the queries every month. I don't necessarily understand the point of having the data cleared every day. I'm not too sure what best practice would be for something like this... would it be that you setup a workflow launcher to reverse replicate this data back to author, but does it clean it up daily there as well?

Our statistics queries tracking (/var/statistics/queries/) works for the day of, i'll see newly created folders for each search that happened that day and it's properties... but in the next day or two when i look, the stats for the previous day are gone.Does anyone else have this happening to them?

thanks sham for replying. just two questions from your answer. 1) even though i'm boosting the properties. it still shouldn't leave out results from non-boosted properties correct? (which i'm seeing it do)2) How does a score of a page even work then if it's only boosting properties shouldn't these boostings aggregate to the page? cause then i can't even see how you can weight pages with these boosted properties. Would i have to account for every situation? such as boost page that contains title ...

There's a ton of info about how to boost properties in your search index but for the life of me it seems that when i put in these boosting configs... It doesn't seem to want to index the other properties that aren't specified. below is my indexing config that you can see where i commented the parts that i added. My search results seem to be only based on those properties but when I take out my customization more results (just not boosted) come in as usual. and each time i'm re-indexing the repo ...

much of the documentation states (https://dev.day.com/docs/en/crx/current/developing/searching_in_crx.html) you can set boosting at runtime and gives example in both sql and xpath:select * from nt:base where contains(*, '"day crx"^10 "apache jackrabbit"^8 lucene^0.5') order by jcr:score //element(*, nt:base)[jcr:contains(., '"day crx"^10 "apache jackrabbit"^8 lucene^0.5')] order by @jcr:scorebut it seems like adobe suggests all queries be run by QueryBuilder. Is it at all possible to add boostin...

k thanks just seeing if there was a more "elegant" way. for those that need something here's what I created real quick. Basically on an author instance set users to just read permissions and putting this in your page.jsp will flip the switch to wcmmode=disabled // check permission and change wcm mode on author if ((WCMMode.fromRequest(request) == WCMMode.EDIT)){ Session currentSession = slingRequest.getResourceResolver().adaptTo(Session.class); if (!currentSession.hasPermission(currentPage.getPa...

Is there anyway to set the wcmmode specific to a group or user? Basically have a user that their wcmmode is always disabled so they can preview the site but not edit it? but still have other users as content authors that can make edits?

did you guys ever find a fix for this? we had the same problem but the only solution so far was just make the dialog floating so people can resize the window to show the buttons
