Do we need to move code base to maven archetype 23? arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello All, I am working on a short-term project that was developed on Archetype 10/13 on AEM6.2, because the maven version mentioned in the main POM is an old versioned one. The Classic UI components are supposed to be upgraded to Touch UI, so that it supports for AEM 6.5 too going forward. In the process of upgrade, I have updated the POM file with the required versions of the respective dependencies and that had been successful upon code build. But when I tried upgrading classic ui components ...

How to conditionally disable the dialog edit in Touch UI? arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Community Members, Trying to disable the component dialog edit functionality, of a Sightly component, upon a certain condition. The component should still be rendering its html, just that it disables authoring of that component only. Was not able to get to it.Have an idea about how that can be done for a Classic UI component in JSP, but was checking if there is a way for us to do that for a component thats in Sightly.Appreciate your help and time. Thanks in Advance.--Arvind

Re: Datepicker authored value retention from Classic UI to Touch UI arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
JaideepBrar - Thanks about that. I have validated that before my forum post. The way I have written down my Classic and Touch UI fields are mentioned below. The issue is, the rollover or the populating of value when authored in Touch UI is not showing up on Classic and even when I author it on Classic and submit it, again when I reopen the Classic dialog the field doesn't get pre-populated with what's being authored a moment ago. Classic UI: Touch UI: (Applying valueFormat/storedValue didn't r...

Datepicker authored value retention from Classic UI to Touch UI arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi all,I have been seeing an issue on AEM 6.2 and couldn't find a response to the below situation. Am working on converting the Classic UI components to Touch UI. One of the component has a datepicker and the value authored on Classic UI does render the data on Touch UI, but the dialog doesn't get populated with data that's authored on Classic UI and the same gets applied when we author on Touch dialog, the value doesn't get populated in Classic UI dialog. For getting the Classic UI authored dat...

Re: Limit filesize of assets into DAM? arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
We may not need to do that on /content/dam node, we need to overlay the node "/libs/dam/gui/content/assets/jcr:content/actions/secondary/create/items/fileupload" to /apps/ and then update the sizeLimit property to whatever the value you want to set the limit to and the value that you set will be in bytes. That will work.

Re: Can we change default error message of fileupload sizelimit? arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
Vish.dhaliwal - I believe we cannot overlay the clientlibs, rather can override by creating another clientlib in my project. Please correct me if I am wrong. I tried creating a clientlib with the category "dam.gui.coral.fileupload", it still picks up the /libs/dam/gui/coral/components/commons/fileupload/clientlibs/fileupload/js/fileupload.js and not my custom file located at /etc/designs/myproject/clientlib-dam-coral/fileupload/fileupload.js Is there anything missing, that you might think of?

Hi everyone,I am here applying a sizelimit property to the assets uploaded in DAM, in Touch UI. Is there a way for us to change the error message displayed on alert box? The current default message displayed is more generic. Appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

Re: Is linkchecker enabled by default? arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
JaideepBrar,I followed the same steps before, but I did what you said again. I have added an internal and external broken links in the rich text editor. I don't see any activity in /etc/linkchecker.html. And below is what I see in the logs.02.08.2019 11:55:25.243 *INFO* [CM Event Dispatcher (Fire ConfigurationEvent: pid=com.day.cq.rewriter.linkchecker.impl.LinkCheckerImpl)] com.day.cq.rewriter.linkchecker.impl.LinkCheckerTask LinkChecker service shut down02.08.2019 11:55:25.244 *DEBUG* [CM Even...

Re: Is linkchecker enabled by default? arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi JaideepBrar,I confirm that, the "Disable checking" is unchecked and the default value for "Scheduler period" was changed to random values and tried testing it and then had reset values. No luck yet. Was not able to see anything related to link checker in logs nor in the link checker tool console.

Is linkchecker enabled by default? arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi all,I am trying to enable the link checker on my instance, because of the concern of the broken links on the website. Is the link checker enabled by default and does the events get triggered when we are authoring the pages with say rich text field component? I have been through quite a few articles that are on the web - for instance AEM Link Checker : Comprehensive Guide , but there is nothing different than in the configuration, that we have it on our AEM 6.2 instance, from what it is mentio...

Prod Author performance issue arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hello Everyone,We have an issue facing since an year or so with the Prod. We are on 6.1 SP2 with the instances being managed by Adobe. Author and Publish both are on SSD. This happens whenever we do a restore from the backup and it affecting the Author performance. SAML configuration for multiple websites on same AEM 6.1 SP2 instance arvindk091986 - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi all,As per the business requirement, I am working on providing login functionality for multiple websites on same AEM 6.1 SP2 Instance. We already have a website which is configured with an IDP and SPID accordingly. Now that there are few more websites added to the same instance, we are in a process of providing login functionality for them. We have a single IDP and multiple SPID's with respective rankings for the websites. So upon creation of multiple SAML Configurations, the handler picks up...
