OSGI Annotations with Communities Components - Adobe Experience Manager 16-10-2018
We are trying to upgrade from AEM 6.2 to AEM 6.4.With this upgrade we are also updating our code to use OSGI annotations instead of R6 annotations.I completed all the updates as per examples and guidelines available to migrate R6 to OSGI annotations. Code compiles fine without errors, but the components are not working. For example the Component annotation for extended JOURNAL component is :@Component(immediate = true, service = SocialComponentFactory.class, property = { "service.ranking = 50", "...

Comments and Likes without login - Adobe Experience Manager 22-05-2018
Hi Everyone,We have a requirement of allowing anonymous users to be able to comments and like as Anonymous/Public users. They should not be required to login.I just wanted to understand if it would be a good idea to extend both these components to override the login requirement. Is it even possible?Or it would be better to build new custom components to achieve this. Any suggestion/advice appreciated. Thanks.Rahul_Bhardwaj, please suggest.

Re: Extended Journal Component 6.4 not working - Adobe Experience Manager 30-04-2018
Try going through this article here: Clientlibs for Communities Components Once the client libs are properly configured for the page on which you are trying to add the extended component, it should work fine and you will be able to post blogs. I tried the same component and everything works fine, except for listing of posts.

Re: Journal's comment resource type is set to social/journal/components/hbs/comment - Adobe Experience Manager 26-04-2018
Open the design dialog for extended Journal component. There you can specify the type for your Entry Topic. Set it to you custom entry topic component's path. From now on the new posts created with this component will have the correct resourceType. But you might see that the posts are not being listed on the list page.

Re: Extended Journal Component not Working - Adobe Experience Manager 19-04-2018
Exactly same problem. You can configure your entry topic, by updating the path in Design mode for your blog component. You will be able to edit and see the blog as per your extension. But now the list on the blog page is not coming. Let me know if this fixes your issue, and you also do no see the list on the blog list page.
