No there is no way to do this out of the box. You may be able to customize Workspace and remove the 'Selected Action' as a possible column that displays for the end user but I'm not sure how easy that would be.

Access to queues needs to be granted prior to the task arriving in the queue so even if he shared his queue, now, the task may not be visible. At this point your only option would be to log in to the Adminui, as your LiveCycle Administrator (Super Administrator) and locate the task via Process Management Admin and reassign the task to someone else.Hope that helps,Robert

To Chalukya:Which question are you asking about? There are two questions in this topic.1) Searching in group queues. (Can't be done)2) Grouping tasks in the To Do list using Process Variables? (This is not possible in ES but is possible in ES3).For question 2, in Workspace ES, process variables are only displayed to the user when the user selects a specific process from the process dropdown list in the left hand side of the To Do page. When a user selects a specific process then the process vari...

True, when a task deadlines a notification (deadlined task) remains in the user's To Do list. However the only thing that user can do with that notification item is to remove it. It remains there to notify the user that the task has deadlined and moved on. The owner of that notification is the only one who can remove it. The task itself has moved on to where ever your process sends it.

As odd as it sounds there is no guarantee that the process ids,or Task Ids, will be in consecutive order. Numbers are assigned in blocks (task are blocks of 100, not sure block size for proc instances). When the server starts it looks for next starting block number. That's why you get taskid = 1 for a new install and then after restarting the server you get taskid starting at 101. The same conept works with Process IDs as well.If you require an ID value to be in a consecutive order then your bes...

This sounds like a deadline or an escalation. Would either of those suit your purpose? After three days the task deadlines and moves to the next step or it remains on the same step but escalates to another user.

I'm going to assume you mean the Notes that are on the Attachments tab. If that is true then the Notes are just text attachments and you should be able to get to the attachments (Notes) that are associated with each task and then maybe direct the output to a Set Value task to format the Notes and then send the results to a Print task. (Sounds easier than it is.)I have not tried the above suggestion but that's the thought that came to me 🙂Hope it helps,Robert

I have different forms where the Offline button displays and some where the Save button displays. However my forms are behaving as expected, as Diana mentioned. Some of my forms are native PDFs (Acroforms) where the Save button does not display and some of my XFA based forms (XDP) display the Offline button because they have the process fieds. Maybe double check your forms for the process fields and/or the variable type. I'm not questioning your assertion that all of your forms have the same var...

That is correct. You cannot programmatically change that file name. You can change it when you save it locally.

Hmmm, I seem to have gotten ahead of myself. I appologize. For the StartPoint you cannot rename the Complete button (unless you customize and, as I said above, I'm not sure about that). For tasks, you can initialize the task with route names (Routes and Priority property panel of the user service) and then ensure that you have a route called 'Submit'. If the task goes somewhere then that route can be called 'Submit'. If the task is not routed to another user then you can create a route called 'Sub...

You might be able to customize Workspace to rename the Complete button but I'm not sure about that. However the easiest way might be to ensure that your User Service has a User Action called Submit. If the User Service has a User Action then that action gets displayed in lieu of Complete.Hope that helps,

Hmmm, so let me see if I have this right. You've imported an lc8 process into an lc9 application, after upgrading your server, and reset the deployment id and added a new Workspace startpoint. Is that right? Did you also replace the user services on your process? The stack trace has errors coming from userservicev2 which is a new user service which would lead me to believe you also replaced your user services. If that is the case I'm wondering why you modified the process after upgrading to lc9? ...

After futher investigation it seems this is working as designed. The prepare data checkbox called 'The user opens a completed task' is when the user opens a completed task in Tracking, not for when the users starts a new process via Tracking. If you start a new process, via Tracking, and you have the 'The user opens the task' prepare data checkbox enabled then the prepare data will run.If you modify the data that was added via the prepare data service, at the startpoint, then when you start a ne...

Category level access is not supported. To restrict users from seeing the forms (start points) in a category you can restrict the access for each service; however you cannot restrict the access for each category.

Updating column display via the Preferences page only affects the columns displayed in the section you updated (Tasks or Tracking). This does not affect search results. The search result columns are dictated by the search template. When the search template is created you can specify the order in which the search result columns are displayed. You are correct, you can move the columns to new locations by dragging the column but this is not persisted once the user logs out of Workspace.Under the Tra...

Each user can individually suppress this message by going to the Manage UI Preferences page and set the "Message Notification View Time" time to 'Notification Off'.You cannot, however, do this on a system wide basis. You may be able to customize Workspace to not display this message but even at that level you would be suppressing all messages and not just this one.

There is a column you can expose called 'Current Queue Owner' and that will display the name of the person who current has the task (the form in their queue). It also displays the name of the person who completed the previous tasks. Is that what you mean?

Process Management has the concept of process variables. These are variables that can be set via the process and exposed in Workspace. These variables are created on the process and set to 'Visible in the UI'. The values, of course, will be set within your process. To view these variables in Workspace you would:Navigate to Preferences -> Manage Column Headings.Select the Tracking radio buttonIn the 'View Options' drop down list select the process that includes the process variable you want to exp...

This is working as expected. There are no acls (access control list) on items in group queues so when A claims it, B can no longer see it. If user B is a member of the same group then user A can return the task to the group queue and user B can then claim it.Hope that helps.

Out of the box there is no way to change the size of the left hand pane. However if you are customizing Workspace you should be able to change the width of that pane. Also if the name of the group is too long to display in the pane you can hover over the group (or category or process name) and the tooltip should display the full name of the group.Hope that helps.

Here is a tech note that may help:Using LiveCycle Workspace ES2 on Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP or Windows 2003To use Workspace ES2 on Internet Explorer 8 on a Windows XP or Windows 2003 machine, you must first download the following patch:http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS09-054.mspxOtherwise, initialization errors will occur.Try installing this IE patch and see if that helps.
