This is the reason that I still use version 13.5 - the trended elements
are listed at the top of the page, and then there is a color key to
indicate which element is which. Not the best work around, but it allows
the trended report to be understood by the audience. Please fix this in
version 14 - trended reports are useless if you want to export the data
for reporting and analysis by others.
Most Campaign id's are created using a simple rule-set for marketers to
be able to encode and decode as needed. So a simple regex interface that
would allow rule baesd classification sounds like just the ticket to
help with what shouldn't be a manual process.
It would be great if when you identified what timezone you were in, and
what monetary value your site uses, if the Holidays for that region/area
were automatically populated and highlighted throughout reports. For
example, there might be a dip in traffic during the first week of July,
last week of December, or when Easter occurs eaach year.
52 weeks ago today isnt the same day as today - it can be offset by one
or two days. So for example when I compare the performance of Sunday Feb
14, 2010 to the same Sunday last year that would be Feb 15, 2009. If
your business is cyclical on a weekly basis then the day shift has to be
done outside of sitecatalyst.
In SiteCatalyst, I have to use eVars and sProps in order to see what the
entire Referrer and URL is. By default only the s-dns is available for
referrer and landing page is only the pagename that is created instead
of the actual s-dns+cs-uri-stem+cs-uri-query (which is sometimes more
Adam, I have to have Weekly Unique Visitors to understand my business on
a weekly basis. If it were possible to have one set of measures that
included weekly unique visitor counts along with commerce settings on
these values, that would be awesome. Another option is to include the
weekly, monthly, quarterly counts along with the daily and visit counts
for the commerce variables. Dylan
there is a rich set of notation available in the Omniture Insight
product, that could be leveraged somehow in the sitecatalyst application
- basically has a journal entry component with an excel type interface
that allows you to right words, and reference numbers, to be able to
communicate what is going on in specific reports. Even something as
simple as a journal tab that allows for the recording of key events, and
when you lap those events annually, monthly, weekly, or daily provide
Many mobile measurement companies wait until the application is closed
to send the data. Provide a setting in the code to allow for this
feature - especially if the applicaiton may be used by the touch and not
always on wifi.
Mobile phones are using applications, not web pages. If when creating a
report suite, the mobile application developer can set the session
timeout length in the rsa creation process that would be useful to allow
for non-30 minute timeout default for mobile application suites.
