This is a BIG request, but SAINT Bernard tries to go here but just falls
too far short. I'd really like to see a configurable tool that could be
deployed throughout an organization that could truly be the central
repository for SAINT Classifications. This would allow users to come
into the tool and request new campaign codes (one at a time or in bulk),
Set some required an optional parameters (as defined by an admin), and
receive their codes, and possibly the fully formed links if the rules
I realize that the domains you set in your admin URL Filters, and Custom
Link Filters in the s_code can be different, but the typical
implementation is that these should be identical. Could you allow us the
option to set in the s_code that linkinternalfilters=URL filters? this
way if I make a change in the Admin tools, I'd automatically update the
link filters without needing IT to change my s_code.
As we make changes to our code, adding custom image requests for
different features, it would be great to have an "unofficial" image
request metric I could put on my site health dashboard, that would allow
me to estimate where we might end up for the month in terms of expenses.
Keith: Agree these are all good uses.FWIW, VISTA Rules aren't the only
option... Can accomplish the same thing with some custom scripting, but
I don't see the value in using uip the eVars in the first place.
On any trended metric report in Site Catalyst, you already have the
option of setting the Day of Week Selector to All Days, or any
individual Day of the week (only Mondays, for example) Could we get
settings for Weekdays vs Weekends. Most Financial Services businesses go
dark on the weekends, so weekday traffic is much more germane. Ideally,
we could turn that drop-down selector into a list of Checkboxes, so if
someone had a reason to report on Mon, Wed, Fri only activity, they
could do that as ...
We use a singular code base across the site, rather than static tagging.
Generally, we use Processing rules to help manage some exception
handling. the 404Error page is one such exception In debugger,
regardless of the bad URL, the page title is "page not found"with
s.pagetype available in Processing rules, we could create IF Page Title
is "page not found".Overwrite value of s.pagetype="errorPage"
I'd like to be able to classify Search keywords captured by the baked-in
keyword reporting. While Paid vs Natural is already a nice distinction,
I'd like to be able to classify as Branded / Non-Branded (Current
Workaround is a custom report, filtered with Brand Rules), as well as to
identify targeted keywords From a business perspective, I may have 300
targeted keywords and phrases for my SEO Manager to optimize for, and
the ability to trend against the targets will help identify and measure
I set up a list eVar, and was surprised to find out that I can't
classify the values once they make it to the reporting layer. Example:
I'm passing multiple click through actions in a test using
s.list2s.list2="Clickable Link A, Clickable Link B" A & B are part of a
single creative unit, so I want to Classify them as combined Creative
Unit 1, so I can measure Clicks on Unit 1 vs Unit 2.
We may have our s.campaigns variable with a 1 week expiration, as well
as a few "clones" of this variable with different expire lengths (day,
month, never) I'd like to be able to Sync SAINT Data between multiple
variables... upload once, propagate the results to multiple
variables. You should be able to set your SYNC rules somewhere in the
SAINT Classification Admin tools.
I just talked to client care about this as well. When they identify the
traffic as mobile, but they can't identify the Browser, it should
classify the Browser as "Unidentified - Mobile", so it least it's
putting it in an understandable bucket.
I'd like to be able to copy the structure of a SAINT table from one eVar
to another. We store something like a Campaign variable in 3 separate
eVars. I had to rebuild the SAINT definition table twice. Would be nice
to be able to say "Copy definitions from..." in the Admin tool.
